They all love the song, Victoria promised it will be on the Forever album by introducing it, Mel c called it Wicked and Emma said I like that one! Mel B then said it too. They need to make it a B-side to a new one they do in 2020 hopefully or do what is the best gift for the fans which is a CD set of unreleased songs and demos for us to buy and enjoy please. Everyone loves buying the odd stuff. They knew this from the start, they and management put out a hit single with a unreleased song to help the single have even more bait to buy it. Let's say a big fan bought the album, they wouldn't need the single unless it had a bonus reason. If a no fan liked one song they'd get only the single plus a remix, instrumental and unreleased track. It's best to have one of each :) This video of say seems to be the best copy overall of WOMAN. We need help from the girls. Please actually come through. It's been over 20 years now!!!

Yes I agree they should have been on the album's but Step to me WAS ON SPICE WORLD for Japan. Not anywhere else. The version has pretty background moans in it which is not on the step to me Pepsi single so I suggest you buy it.

I believe that they didn't release it, because they were going for a different sound with Forever. This is really close to "old school" Spice. They were going for an edgier tone with Forever.

Brandon Bush I agree plus by 2000 this type of sound was already dated. I like Forever for what it was tbh - it was a necessary and logical step forward for them musically speaking.

@@fajarzakri4936 I disagree guys. Forever first off was not edgy, that would be rock. It was rnb, hip hop and slow soft ballad types, Mel C came in after the other girls all worked together vocal wise to just add in her vocals so it was slapped together which is why Mel seems a little off in a moment or two. It's a very good album but not the same magic as the first two. The sound of W.O.M.A.N was and is not dated as in not in style. Disco, POP, Rock Pop and dance songs are ALWAYS IN. They just cut that to try the different style and their less sexy spice style by doing more conservative looks which was not a good idea. This song was way before lady Gaga and many artists who take a word and do what they did with this. Cher's popular woman's world song too! This song is a piece of history that must get released.

I think if they hadn't gone with Darkchild for Forever and stuck with Absolute or a pop producer and released Forever in early 2000 it would have sold well as pop/dance music was at a high and R&B/Urban sound would have been better in 2001/2002 but by that time they were all in the midst of solo careers. WOMAN was a song in the vein of Who Do You Think You Are or Never Give Up on the Good Times (which was planned to be a double a side with Viva Forever before Geri left) and would have fared well.

If they dressed loud and hot and not conservative, kept the SPICE looks, released W.O.M.A.N as single #1, Right back at ya #2, Holler #3 for their new tyor to give us which would have then been passed 2001, then ending the singles with #4 Let love lead the way well that would have been a 3rd number 1 album and way more awesome. They should have showed Ginger that they didn't need her to be the same success wise. Trying something new would have made sense for the 4th album. Never mess with the trio.

I can't believe this wasn't released as a single, what the hell were they thinking at that time? It should have been released between "Goodbye" and "Holler". It's a catchy disco song with an infectious beat and rhythm. I particularly love all the verses and the ad-libs. "Right Back at Ya" is another song worthy of a single release.

YES and in a way I think they weakened it all on purpose to fizzle out to do solos and etc which made us lose out on tons of amazing stuff which is unfair especially since we made them rich and successful. It's not much to ask for with getting the songs. Them releasing headlines as a single was corny. It was a sweet one for fans and should have been a B-side thank you gift to a single that was Awesome and memorable to party too. Hmmm let me think what one it should have been.. WOMAN!!! Duhhh doing that during trotsg with all 5 would have been EPIC and loving to give back to the fans. Here in 2024 to say that this would be an amazing release for them now (30 years since the original auditions) to go alongside a Netflix doco on the rise of the Spice Girls. The timing feels right. Geri just needs to go into the studio and lay some vocals down. They can easily film a video for it in different locations. Bring it on!!!!!

when the spice girls recorded their third album, forever, they recorded 2 versions. one with stannard and rowe, their original producers who worked on spice and spiceworld, and one with american producers dark child and rodney jerkins. they decided to choose the latter because they thought they needed a new sound. WOMAN was from the other album so wasnt used. they should have released both and done a double CD. was always upset after three 3years of waiting they only managed 11 tracks
