The spicer 18 variant was used in all Willy 4x4’s from 1941-1972(early) before being replaced by the Dana 20. The spicer 18 transfer case is a cast iron 2-speed gear drive unit. The most common low range ratio is 2.46:1 (civilian) it has a offset rear output with passenger side drop. It is extremely robust/small/light…it can handle lots of power and it’s very easy to work on! Please feel free to ask questions! Thank you for watching!

Shims, on the speedometer housing, I have a 1960's Brazilian service from Willys Overland, was setting with a filler gauge between the high gear and the main shaft...

I have no idea what you’re talking about. lol… the procedure used in this video for setting output end play is the correct method.

No, this is a kit they assemble themselves. They’ve been working hard to put together the best kit possible.

So of them uses cage bearings instead of needle bearings.

Roller bearings on the outputs. Needle bearing a on the intermediate shaft 👍

My intermediate shaft is 3/4 inches and uses cage bearings with the intermediate gear.
