EXCELLENT video! It took me awhile to get into linear stuff and hand-foot coordination. But once you do, and develop the independence and get it into your muscle memory, it gets easier. It's all about that pulse, groupings and eveness of notes, independence, and learning everything slow before you bring it up to a brighter tempo. Great demonstrations and thanks for the lesson, Rob! I'm going to try some more of these out today! 🔥🥁☝️

Hey Rob - fun groupings man ! looks like your playing 2 bars of 16th note with these fills = 32 notes in total . So does that mean that your playing 6 sets of these 5 note groupings and then just add 2 extra RL or LR to come in on the ‘one’ ? Cheers Mate
@robertthompson5568

I'm not quite sure how he makes it come out right either man??? I think he might be pushing 2 of them together so it comes out as 4 but...idk??? Hopefully someone will adress it in the comments.

Congrats on the PUMA DEAL!!! You deserve it Rob! I get so confused with odd groupings...Are you playing them with the value of 4 notes? When I see them close together or (diddled) does that mean it only takes up 1 count with 2 strikes to the drum?
@TomGillardMusic
@TomGillardMusic 4 жыл бұрын
They are played as 16th notes. And no, each note has the same value. The lowercase letters are ghost notes, but they still hold the value of 1 16th note, as do each diddled note.
