Mate, I'm 55 and came back to drumming after a 30yr gap. You're videos are not only incredibly helpful but inspirational. Makes me cry for the lost years and look forward to the next 30 all at the same time. Thank you and stay safe.

Man, where were you 25 years ago! I’ve been playing the drums wrong the whole time. Just looking at your channel this past month has improved my playing by, let’s just say a lot! My grip the way I hold the sticks now , I’m now starting play with my fingers more to increase my speed. Thank You BeatDown!

YES!!! My man! Just what I was trying to start learning how to use and incorporate into my playing. Not only are you a fantastic player, teacher, and man; but you've somehow become telepathic in addition to all that??!! ;) This is a great lesson and demonstration! Take care and God bless!

Get an acoustic as fast as possible e kit is great but for a beginner it can easily set you up for bad habits and embarrassment when you jump on the real thing coming from a place of love as a fellow drummer

That is a fun lick. It's basically an inverted paradiddle, so you could switch to regular paradiddle, if you wanted different accents. I'm definitely gonna play with this one.

Hi Rob, LOVE the channel, this lick is so cool, it reminds me of a Joe Porcaro thing that I saw too many years ago. Keep randomly adding in the rrL part too and it opens up even more. And thanks for all the stuff in improving hands, after 30 years playing it has still made a massive difference x

Greetings Rob! Thank you for sharing more goodies with us. I'm looking forward to practicing this on the snare tonight. Also, I changed my main grip/fulcrum to thumb and middle finger a few weeks ago and I'm so much more relaxed, my playing is smoother and my finger control is better. Still working on keeping the pinky 100% involved in my grip because I can notice the difference when it's not used Man, I used to grip the sticks so hard between my thumb and index finger that I'd sometimes get blisters during gigs from trying to play too hard and loud. I'm so thankful I discovered your channel because it's been the best in helping me start over with my drumming. Sending peace and love to you and all from Arkansas!

What is B? Bass drum? Usually people use “F” for foot.
@dr.timschurig2344 жыл бұрын
@@gsxerwhite Some use B for bassdrum or K for kick, even F for foot. There are many ways to express the same thing. Have fun.
@dr.timschurig2344 жыл бұрын
This is great, but I prefer +BRL, so that the kick falls an straight 8th notes, which might be a little bit easier to follow for the listener.
