There was a restaurant back in the day (Koi) that had “rock shrimp” on the menu that was out of this world delicious. Looks like they removed it (or it’s off menu) but I’m glad to see they survived Covid. Highly recommend this joint if it’s still the same owners!

Im sure he could find that for much cheaper, but remember, they happily peeled and deveined that, and it is fresh. It likely came from a quality fishmonger and not some chain that tries to sell frozen as fresh. I can get jumbo shrimp here for 10.99 a pound if I go that route

Very few people buy fresh shrimp- and hes in liberal NY. I pay $8.00/lb for frozen wild caught shrimp. Taste just as good when cooked right.
