Wow!!!! Jill you have done it again another awesome recipe indeed. Thank you for sharing complete recipe in description box. Something funny I was thinking about when you were talking about chipotle pepper hotness when adding to recipe. First time I ever used chipotle peppers from the small can I put the whole can into a chili. Thinking they would really flavor that chili. Not knowing about their warmness. Or should I say hotness after that experience..Lol. 🥵😂😂 Love from Ky.

Do you drain and rinse the beans?

Hi Sue -- yes, I always rinse and drain beans, especially before soaking. Then I rinse and drain the beans off the soaking water. And, I always drain and rinse canned beans. Hope that helps!
