Trinchado is a traditional South African braised beef dish with strong Portuguese influences. Rich in garlic, onions, birds'eye chillies and a generous amount of homemade Mozambican Peri-Peri sauce. Served with chips and homemade Portuguese bread rolls to absorb that delicious sauce!
Recipe
∙ 1 kg Sliced beef( I used beef hump)
∙ 3 onions
∙ 1 Head of garlic ( 14 cloves)
∙ 3 bayleaves
∙ 2 Bird's eye chillies ( add more for heat)
∙ 3 tablespoons chilli oil
∙ 3 tablespoons olive oil
∙ 2 tablespoons paprika
∙ 100g pitted olives
∙ 1 beef bouillon cube
∙ salt & pepper to taste
∙ 750ml water
