There’s this restaurant that only a few locals know. It’s called HA & VL Vietnamese Noodle Soup. It’s tucked away in a corner that no one would ever notice. It’s near the bun bo hue restaurant. They have 2 different soups each day they’re open. Saturday has my favorite soups. It’s super delicious!

It's a James beard award winner, there's also the sister restaurant Rose VL. Highly recommend a Sunday trip for their tumeric noodles early before the hipsters wake up

Next time you are in Portland, OR you need to try Tang Dynasty. It has amazing soup dumplings! Only two flavors but they are delicious and packed with soup. They also have a lot of other really tasty dishes. Their cashew chicken is really something special!
