For the folks complaining about the dash buzzing, here's how I fixed it ( mine's a 2010 ). The buzzing noise actually comes from where the 2 plastic parts of the dash join. You need to take off the bottom part ( a few bolts from on the bottom, Philips head screws) and wrap the lip of the bottom part with felt or something similar ( I used duct tape). That's all. The noise should go away.

I have this exact bike, in this exact color, Got it as my first bike after passing my direct access & i find it to be a great bike, it isn't a snatchy wheelie monster like some some bikes can be lower down, especially the more street oriented bikes of this power range. When I decided to get a motorcycle license a few months ago, this is the bike I learned on and took my test with. I didn't really "learn" on it since I had been riding a 125 using my car license so I only did two lessons with it and went for the test. Didn't know this bike existed till then. Half of the right brake lever was missing and the rear tire had turned to slick, without any of the merits of true slicks. These two inconveniences made the braking and accelerating test interesting, the rear end swerving under the slightest hint of power, I found it mega fun trying to maximize acceleration with little grip. I only realized the seating position was more aggresive than I was used to not whenever I got on the bike but whenever I got off it and back on to my XSR 125. Didn't like how heavy the steering felt though, I guess for high speed stability?,that put me off a bit , but I could feel the power of the bike and could only imagine what it would feel like if I could fully open up the taps and rev the thing. Not the sort of performance I'm looking for, it's a bit crazy, I'm going for the R3 instead. But it's always cool to ride something else and take in the experience. Guess at some point Honda offered the bike to riding schools for a killer deal because most of them were sporting CB600Fs. Mine was a golden color, there were some black ones but the best looking were the milky-white colored ones for sure, not a fan of the gold color.

It's my beginner bike and I think that's a great all-rounder. I use it 80% for commuting and 20% for longer trips. That 600 engine is perfect - low torque figures under 6000 rpm, powerful enough over 8000 rpm. I took it to off-road, twisties, highways and I think it did it's job everywhere, but impressed me the most in the corners. After 12000 km in one year, I can't imagine a better bike for my needs. About 30% of my commutes was with a passenger, and it's very competent for the job. While touring with passenger, it does the job, but you have to rev it harder, since you need more torque to move the extra-mass.

@@Tugasquad I am not sure what you mean as "privately" If you mean ride the bike on private land 100% you can and need nothing for that. If you mean on the road NO you can not do that.
