The extended scene is great on its own, but in the context of the whole movie it makes sense that it got cut for redundancy. Harry telling Peter off at the party later in the movie is more effective when it overlaps less with this scene.

I feel Harry did not really have a good reason to think Spider-man killed his dad. All he did was see Spider-man bring his dad in. That does not prove anything considering he tries to save people. For all he knows Spider-man tried to save him but got there too late.
@ClockJoexx17 жыл бұрын
That's why Norman Osborn before dying, told Peter to not let Harry find out about what happened. Harry was an impulsive and insecure character
@AdeptKing5 жыл бұрын
I think it was easier for Harry to accept that Spider-Man killed his dad rather than accept his Dad was actually a villain. I think Norman the real Norman came out in the end and that's when he told Peter that he basically wanted his son to remember him in a good light not as a villain.

Imagine being in Peter's shoes knowing that Aunt May holds Norman in admiration for supposedly being there for Peter-not being able to tell her that Norman was directly responsible for the deaths of many people and the attempted murders of you and your other "children" (i.e. Mary Jane and Harry).

Tobey caught a box car full of kids & MJ, he caught Aunt May and freakin stopped a moving train, and last but not least he caught muthafuckin Gwen, something Assdrew couldn't do and look what happened to her. James Franco did an excellent job as Harry Osborn because at some point of Spider-Man's story, Harry starts acting like a younger yet fresher and stronger version of Norman Osborn and right now when I looked in his eyes, I saw Willem Dafoe and I hated it when he died at the end of the movie because I've always liked and pitied Harry and I honestly feel his pain, it's not easy to grow up in this world without parents, I lost mine when I was 6 years old in a car accident when no one survived but me and I'm rich, I'm a multimillionaire and I have 5 cars (3 of them are supercars) and a butler who raised me, I served in the military, I have a wife and a young boy and still something inside is broken and can never be fixed and no, I'm NOT Batman, I'm just a guy who considers Batman and Spider-Man as his idols and there a lot of things in common between me and Bruce Wayne but I've killed before to avenge my squad mates who were ambushed in our mission in Afghanistan 10 years ago so that makes me a killer but I'm not doing this anymore and I'm became Muslim 8 years ago because I wanted a new start (even though this is irrelevant but I wanted to include it because you don't have to be a Muslim in order to be a terrorist because a terrorist can be anyone even a government official can be a terrorist if he/she wants to be)

@devinjabairemoss Жыл бұрын
What a rather painful, bittersweet way to celebrate your 21st birthday. And yes, btw Peter Parker was 21-years old in Spider-Man 2. He was born on August 1, 1983 as confirmed by the official novelization of the Raimi trilogy. He was 18/19 in the first movie, 21 in the second, and 21/22 in the third installment. Which very accurately explains why he was allowed to drink champagne in the second and third film and why he was gonna propose to Mary Jane Watson. The more you know, the more you know.
@devinjabairemoss Жыл бұрын
@Aaron Pablos Amen to that. But even with all its flaws and narrative messiness, Spider-Man 3 is far from the worst superhero movie. Flawed, absolutely. Is it bad? Hell no. I still find enjoyment in it.
