Too bad they didn’t have the transition where Peter is hanging on the wall while he browses his phone with his mask lifted and then he pulls back his mask and springs off the wall to swing away like what they did with the gameplay demo of the first Spider-Man game

Sadly, you can't switch out while in combat or in a conversation.
