While I have no issue with Venom being on the side of good, the personality should remain the same regardless. It's funny that Sam Raimi has said he doesn't understand Venom, because Venom is so simple to properly write and it's because of Sam Raimi. Venom's personality is Spider-Man possessed by a deadite. If he's evil, he's using his complete knowledge of Spider-Man to torture him while quipping evilly with way more malice. If he's good, he's using his complete knowledge of Spider-Man's skills to be like the Punisher while quipping like Peter with far more hate and malice. Sam Raimi should be the master of writing Venom, but somehow nobody thought to explain it to him like this.

MvC2 is the only contender I can think for my fav Venom voice other than this one! There is a slight modification to his voice but 90% of it is aaaall natural gravel! Perfect. Threatening, cool, and fitting without going too much into basic gravel voice that's just generic monster voice. As much as I love Spectacular Spidey (the show), this voice woulda made it perfect.
