If that’s so, we’ll certainly make videos giving our thoughts on them. -We're still on Twitch, we'll just be streaming from our homes instead of the studio. Easily the best part of the entire trilogy. And the reason why Sandman should've been the sole villain. If he was and the next movie was good we probably never would've gotten Garfield's mess.

And the flack it does get from the scientist acting rash and without caution can actually be explained away as well. It's quick to miss but the first white-coat says that "There's a change in the silicium mass.", meaning that they only measured the mass and supposidly density of the sand already present. If course they should still have installed cameras but the part they did do they got right.

This might be controversial but I honestly think Peter hitting Mary Jane was pure accident. Just think about. Peter was already in a fight with at least one bouncer and Mary Jane grabbed him from behind. So odds are Peter probably thought it was another bouncer grabbing him right then instead of Mary Jane. Also this doesn't take away from the impact of the scene either since if Peter hadn't given into his darker urges and worn the black suit then he wouldn't have acted like such an asshole so wouldn't have gotten into a bar fight and therefore Mary Jane would've never been hurt.

Specifically Avi Arad, Producer of the film and one of Marvel's owners at the time. So because Venom was so popular in the comics Arad pressured Rami-who is clearly a Steve Ditko era SpiderFan-freaking Sandman looks like he jumped off of a comics page-into using him. If this movie had just been about Pete versus Sandman and New Goblin it would have been a hell of a lot better. Also N.C. really called it on how really invested the audience was in the Pete and MJ relationship. The audience I saw it with reacted the same way that his did. Uncle Ben gets shot to stone silence, MJ kisses Harry the entire audience gasps in shock...

It should've been 2 movies. More time for relationship stuff, more time for harry - peter rivalry, first movie with sandman & harry as villains. Then symbiote & eddie is introduced by the end. In the second movie peter gets infected by symbiote, his transformation, his realization, eddie gets symbiote, venom, their fight. And also more time to make eddie brock the anti hero & show his side. And no Gwen Stacy. If this had worked, we'd have got a vulture movie. And more memes.

Things I genuinely like about Spider-Man 3: -The black symbiote suit was a killer. -Thomas Haden Church's performance. -The special effects were so good for its time especially the scene where Flint Marko turns into Sandman for the first time. That shit was beautiful. -Venom when separated from Eddie Brock looked like a terrifying creature straight out of a Tim Burton/Henry Selick animation. -The dance, yes, THAT. FUCKING. DANCE. -The part with J. Jonah Jameson and his pills is absolutely hilarious. -Stan Lee´s cameo. -The theme about forgiveness. Peter Parker learns to forgive his uncle's killer, Harry learns to forgive Spider-Man and Mary Jane forgives Peter. -When Peter and Harry team up to save MJ is one of the most satisfying scenes of the entire trilogy. -The song "Signal Fire" by Snow Patrol in the end credits after the final scene where MJ and Peter reconcile is so powerful and the best end credits song of the Raimi films. It makes me teary-eyed everytime I hear it knowing there won´t be more Sam Raimi/Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies and the trilogy ended in such a bittersweet tone.

12:33 Wanna know something that's gonna make you depressed about this joke? After losing a court case revolving around a Sexual assault case that was later proven false, Stan Lee's last words in public were "I think I'll go to bed and die." In his later years, the love of his fans were the only thing keeping him happy along with those occasional projects he was involved with like Super 7 and that Super humans of his. His agent was exploiting him, his daughter blamed and hated him for all her relationship problems (She said that a lot of men were dating her for a shot at some of that Marvel money), a nurse trie to take him to court with a sham accusation, and the people he thought were fans were not only bashing this man, but also celebrating his death. He was at his lowest point in life after that trial, and died thniking the people he worked for hated him. At least now he's with Kirby, Moebius, and Ditko making some more great comics in Heaven.

I don't think he sabotaged it as much as he simply hadn't thought anything for that role, and in turn devalued everything else, which is why the Sandman conclusion was so oddly done. If I could make remake this movie I would: Leave Venom for the fourth movie Have Harry fake his amnesia and pull the strings behind Sandman Keep the Symbiote on Peter Parker for majority of movie until his fight in the mansion with Harry Remove Emo Parker and replace with a more angry and confident Peter. Remove the musical numbers Keep the romance storyline but remove Gwen Stacy Have Harry as the main villain and Sandman as the supporting villain The final fight would be Spiderman vs Harry and Sandman The Symbiote would still be taken off at the church but instead of leaving it there Peter would web it up for it to bond to Eddie as a post/mid credit scene. As for the identity learning I am going on the assumption that the Symbiote call read it’s host’s memories and pass that on.

I honestly like the "emo Peter Parker" scene and its cringe. Cause Peter, this Peter, is an awkward nerd who has no clue what cool is. So all of this is exactly how someone like that would act if they were suddenly über confident

@@Hobie02425 nothing really, because Sam Raimi didn't liked the black costume saga, or rather he never read it. He was forced to put it so he pulled a "Now dig on this"
@Webshooters14 жыл бұрын
@@Hobie02425 Actually it does and why it's brilliant. Peter has since the start of this trilogy been CONSTANTLY shit on by life but now when he's finally getting some recognition that what Spider-Man does is helping people it starts to go to his head and inflate his ego which is why he's so dismissive of MJ's problems then once he gets the black suit that ego is turned up to 11 and since Peter has always been an awkward, anti-social nerd this IS what he thinks being cool and confident is like. The suit is corrupting him and bringing out his worst aspects. Petty, vengeful, vanity, etc capping off when he hits MJ. If I wanted a more comic-book depiction of the black suit I'd watch the Alien Costume three-parter from Spider-Man TAS.

Oddly enough this is very Venom Like in the movie Eddie is a lil dorky and awkward I can actually imagine a scene in the film where Eddie and Venom enter a club and Eddie starts awkwardly dancing badly and everybody including Venom thinks its bad so Venom takes control of his body to give some super awesome dance moves

It’s funny because knowing that Raimi doesn’t even like Venom and really just wanted Sandman and Harry as his villains made me realize just how much more passionate the Sandman scenes are, the way they’re shot, the time spent on them, etc. Venom was lazily written in and I can see the lack of that passion since Raimi was forced by Sony to include him.

IMHO, the film should have focused on: Harry's arc Peter and MJ's relationship Eddie Brock/Venom Gwen Stacy, her dad, and Sandman add little to nothing to the film when I really think about it. Sandman's story just ends, and the Stacys just fade into the background once Venom hits the scene.
@motodog2424 жыл бұрын
Raimi didn't want to do Venom so soon, he saved that concept for the 4th or 5th movie, Sony said, fuck that, this is the last film and it needs Venom, Raimi wanted Sandman for the third, and we got too many plotlines happening. I agree though, a lack of Gwen Stacy would've helped, but I think Venom should've been shelved as well over Sandman.
@Axterix134 жыл бұрын
No, t should have focused on Sandman, not Venom. As Motodog242 said, Venom was something that the series was still building to. Cramming him into this movie ruined it. Without him here, most likely, we would have gotten more set up with JJ's son, and he'd most likely have been tied into how Venom reaches Earth (astronaut, alien life form). But without time to develop that, we get this mess. And you'll notice too that the Sandman stuff is the better done stuff, because that's what Riami was invested in, what he had prepared for.

I say harry + mj struggles with the black suit then tease Eddie Brock at the end setting up venom as the villain in movie 4
@willcribb35874 жыл бұрын
A few people have pointed this out, so I'll try and say something new. Venom was forced into the movie by Sony against Raimi's wishes. I think focusing on Sandman would make for a far more focused story, leaving room for Peter and Mary Jane's relationship and Harry's story. This way we wouldn't have cringe worthy dance scenes and the romantic could be more developed. Other than that I agree with Critic in removing the amnesia storyline and making Harry more of a scheming villain, and I agree that the Stacy's should have been removed. Something I would've done is have Peter tell Harry about his father's death (like he was trying to do after Mary Jane's Broadway show). It would make more sense then the butler doing it.
@jrlaps5214 жыл бұрын
I would understand throwing Gwen and Eddie in 3 to set him up as Venom in the 4th. We know Raimi didn’t want Venom in 3 but Sony did, I’m surprised they didn’t bite to pump out more movies
