The card aspect makes me a bit hesitant. I think I'd prefer characters having a set number of abilities they can use for any given load out per each character rather than a deck of cards. And each ability has a turn based cool down or ults that are 1-use per mission. And I think it's kinda funny Spidey would be lacking damage, I think he's the strongest hero in the roster except for maybe magik and Ironmans, but I mean, that's all his armor, not Tony himself. Don't know if Hulk is playable.

That is one way to do it, but the cards make it more dynamic. Every hero gets 8 cards on each mission. That is somewhere between 4-8 abilities depending on how you build the deck. So with three characters you have 12-24 abilities. If you would have that many abilities at your disposal, the mission would have to be extremely complex for it to be a challenge since you would have so many options. Spiderman is incredibly strong. But in the comics he holds so much of his power back because he does not want to hurt anyone. There is a great fight when he fights against Kingpin after he tried to murder aunt May. Kingpin is used to be on equal footing with Spiderman when they fight normally, but in that fight Spiderman absolutely destroyed him. Because that time he wasn´t holding back. But it is comics, everything can be justified if you want it to.

The cards work better for a superhero game with licensed characters. It's still a strategy turn based RPG in the end, the cards are just a gimmick to make it look different from XCOM. And Spidey hardly does more damage than Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider or even Wolverine. He lacks damage because he has more stuff up his sleeve.

in fact the name is a reference to the comic "Rise of Midnight Sons" if you have read the comic by now you would know that the place where lilith was defeated was named Land of the Midnight Sun (place of his resurrection) They are basically the same group but with different members (like magick nico and the ghost Rider who is not Dan)And as they already said this would not be a continuation of the story but a new story,And it's quite possible that we'll see more of the classic team members in the game.

Nothing unreal about it. Sony doesn't own the character. They just have a deal in place with Marvel to work on the solo games. And a deal for the Avengers game which they paid to have. The only thing they own is the film rights. This why you've been able to see the character appear in games like Ultimate Alliance 3 on the Switch and in this game.

That was the last solo Spider-Man game that was released on all platforms after the rights expired with Activision. He's been featured in other games afterwards such as Lego Marvel Heroes 2 which released in 2017. It just depends on who's making the game. Marvel took a hiatus shortly before returning to treat their properties more seriously and work with bigger developers.

Well let me explain they just changed the randomness of the hit for the randomness of the actions so we can test our ability to adapt some unfortunately don't understand this And they keep calling this game Strike for console which is sad and deplorable for the person, but continuing there is no need to have a very large scenario like other xcom games Also there is no need to see places for us to hide as barricades so the scenario is cleaner and more open, each battle you will be in a different situation because of the Randomness of actions,Wait you wanted xcom but you don't like turn-based games? Have you seen xcom???

You know what is dumb. the fact that x-com fanboys think they are soooo much fucking better than everyone else just cuz they play a turn based strategy game (it was fun but mostly i played it cuz i had a broken hand and couldn't really play anything else also i made my team the cast of reno 911 so that was fun) you guys seriously must have your heads pretty deep in the sand to not realize that most superhero fans especially modern ones want open world action games for superhero games. they have pretty much always been that way or at least had nice sized levels so for the average fan when they see something like this they get turned off for having to be restricted to turn based movement when you are playing as super heros that can fly and run fast and all kinds of crazy fast methods of traversal. also the card based system is turning off extra people for the same reason lots of people who used to play yugioh dont wanna return. having to memorize tons of cards and their effects as well as having to hunt down specific cards etc etc.
