Spider-Man Homecoming (2017)
FIRST TIME WATCHING Spider-Man Homecoming was such an exciting adventure for this new incarnation of Peter Parker, who was introduced in CAPTAIN AMERICA CIVIL WAR. And I always love getting to see Robert Downey Jr playing IRON MAN. But what a great surprise to get Michael Keaton in this movie as VULTURE. He was menacing but also sympathetic. What a great job they did with his character and I hope to see more of him in the MCU. The Marvel Cinematic Universe could definitely use his villain in future movies!

Fun Fact: In the comics it was found out that the "Damage Control" CEO actually started causing catastrophes that heroes would need to deal with so that they could stay in business and boost profits, which Wolverine figured it out and went and stabbed the guy through the eyes.

+dizzy rascal The theater I saw this movie in, on opening day, is one of the best experiences I had. The moment Vulture opened the door and introduced himself as Liz Allen's father was freaking shocking. (I'm getting goosebumps as I'm typing this right now.) This may be the BEST example of the MCU upgrading EVERYthing. "The Vulture" is a tech scavenger. F'n BRILLiant. All the old costume references blended in (the shockers quilting was supposed to insulate him from the effects of the weapon, but, ok, it's just attire.) "The Vulture" may be the best example of their marrying a top notch actor to a questionably translatable comic character and that actor blowing the doors off the part. "Loki" (Tom Hiddleston) being the absolute best.

What i like about the differences between three of *Spiderman* we had is : *Toby* *Maguire* : is the only one version of Spider-Man does not have webshooter. Because he had organic webs coming out of his hand which was not taken from the comics. *Andrew* *Garfield* : created his own webshooter for the first time, he has even used his webbing to sense vibrations for potential enemies much like most real spiders, and his *Spiderman* suit is made by himself same like *Toby* ones. *Tom* *Holland* : is also made his own suit too but not as great like *Toby* and *Andrew* , and after that teen hero met billionaire inventor Tony Stark who provided him with a high tech upgrade. He had super strength, also he had the new high tech that have a lot of variation that he can use it like ‘Instant Kill’ ‘Spidey Tiny Robot’ ‘Tracker Device’ and etc .. that’s why he’s more advanced and so powerful than the others *spiderman*

Yup, you got trolled by Captain America in the post credit scene, but you learned the valuable lesson of patience. This scene got a good laugh from the theater crowd where I first saw it. They say a hero can only be as good as his villains. Michael Keaton played a great Vulture in this movie. His Vulture is one of my more favorite MCU villains. Tom Holland did a great job of being a 15 year old Peter Parker learning about the responsibility of being Spider-Man. I see from the comments other people already posted the Easter Eggs in the movie and you noted them so I guess this is all I have to say: Great Reaction! I'm looking forward to the next one.

Civil War doesn't count? 😏 Thank goodness they didn't make us sit through Yet Another Origin Story. Toomes (in a very different version from the comics Vulture) doesn't see himself as evil, but hard done by. As he said in the movie, he does all this to provide for his family. Toomes also shows a strong, if skewed, sense of right & wrong, or at least obligation. Parker saved his daughter's life, so "all" he did was warn Peter off. Later Parker saves his life, and he meets that obligation by feigning ignorance. This, I think, is the first movie version of Spider-Man with a genuinely young actor playing the lead. He was only 17 when he filmed Civil War, and 18 for Homecoming (15 movie age). This is also the first time we got to see Peter portrayed as the genius he is; he's a young Tony Stark in that respect. Love the canonical web shooters; Toby Maguire (did a great job, but 27 when he first played Spider-Man) squirted the web from his body.

You notice in Iron Man films and Avengers that Tony and Jarvis were in-sync in communicating with one another? Peter and Karen were nowhere near that level of communication

OMG!! You waited so long for that final end credit scene... But you know one of the most valuable traits a soldier or a reactor can have... is patience. Sometimes your patience will lead to something great but sometimes it leads to something very little, and it seems like it's not worth it. And you wonder why you waited so long for something so disappointing. Or maybe a former hero who's probably now a war criminal may just be trolling you. Kazzy I love your reaction to this, so much fun! I wasn't disappointed at all ... oh and I think they were doing an homage to Ferris in the end credit when Ferris trolls the audience who are still sitting there and he tells them to go home already. LoL in the theater I used to always watch the end credits because I feel that I already paid for them, I paid for the movie I'll stay - lol.

Apparently Doc Ock (the version from the Raimi movies) and Electro (the amazing Spider-Man version) are supposed to be in the next MCU Spider-Man movie which sounds like they’re gonna set up the Sinister Six .. so I wonder if Keaton’s Vulture is gonna come back too? He did survive this movie after all. Would be fun!

Tom Holland for me is the perfect Peter Parker. The fact that he has a backround in gymnastics so he can do the flips etc is pretty cool. Jon Favreu had a show called The Chef Show where he has an episode with some of the Avengers cast that would be worth to watch. You get to hear some backstory between Tom and Robert. Great reaction as always Kaz, can't wait for the next one! A little fun fact ; The voice in Peter's suit is the wife of the actor who plays Vision and voices Jarvis.

Whatever people think of the movies, I always felt they did a great job of casting Peter Parker. But Tom Holland is really the Spiderman I knew from the comics. & breaks the trend of hiring 30 year olds playing a high school student. I kinda grew up with Spiderman. When I first read a Spiderman comic, he was a high school student and I was a high school student. Then he was a college student and I was a college student. Then he was a grown up with a full time job, and I was a grown up with a full time job. Then he fell in love and married MJ -- and I realized I should take a break from reading comics and try to get a social life. ;)

This is one of my favorite Spider-Man films. I thought this would be my all time fave, at least until Spider-Verse topped it. You could cosplay Aunt May, in my humble opinion....or whoever you wanted to. And that Cap end credits stinger....golden hilarity!

It is a great movie and Tom Holland is excelent as Peter! However the movie and the actor have gotten some recent hate and criticism, specially from Raimi's fanboys who claim anything apart from Tobey and those movies, is trash! Why? I'll never it understand, but if you like anything about these movies you're going to be labelled a kid, because "only kids like the souless mcu"!

@@invictussupremus5832 To that I say, fair enough. As I chew my popcorn and enjoy the best written live action treatment. And the Raimi films while visually amazing, dont even come close to how he is in the comics. The "jokes" in the Raimi films made me physically ill.

Nice touch with Keaton protecting Peter's identity at the end. Makes sense. He knows Peter and his daughter are dating, so he's not gonna want to send thugs after him while he's being Peter. Plus he probably felt he owed him one for saving his life at the plane crash site.
