Someone made an interesting point saying that what they were wearing during their intro is key. Toby’s Peter learned to live in balance as Spider-Man and Peter Parker. He suggested that he and Mj were okay. He lives life as Peter Parker but only breaks out Spider-Man when he has to (hence the costume under the youth pastor outfit). Andrew is still dealing with the effects of what had happened after Gwen and is lonely, so he lives as Spider-Man first before Peter Parker, hence why is was seen in the costume.

So the name of the movie, No Way Home, is a reference about how hard Peter tries to go back to his comfort space where only the people he wanted to knew he was Spider-man, as he mentioned in the videocall with MJ saying "this whole time there's only been 1 week that felt right". With that ending, he finally admits that he has to give up his "home" to protect everyone else, because that's the selflessness that makes Spider-man...well, Spider-man. It hits really hard, and props to the writers and directos for putting so much attention to detail and wrapping up all the spider-man movies together.

A quick observation: the villains were pulled from their universes at the moment they were about to die. It could be seen as metaphorical as well. Doc ock became good after Tobey talked him out of it. Maybe doc ock "dying" was simply him overthrowing the control of his arms. Same with the lizard. Perhaps he was just pulled in right before he was being transformed back into Connors. Same with Sandman. Maybe he was pulled in just as he realized he didn't want to fight Peter anymore at the end of SM3.

In NWH, Electro somewhat reconstructs his body in the same manner as Dr. Manhattan.

Regarding when the villains get “taken” into this universe, it seems like it’s when they learn Spider-Man is Peter Parker. Lizard knew after finding the camera in the sewer, which is where Strange finds him, Doc Ock learns in that moment when Peter takes off his mask which he explains he had his tentacle in Peter’s neck, Goblin confirms it when he kidnaps Mary Jane after his suspicion seeing Peter’s cut on his arm and Peter goes to save her, Sandman at the end of SM3 learns it, and as for Electro, he seems to learn it after he gets absorbed into the data stream, maybe he finds a file regarding Peter Parker inside oscorp’s files, it’s the loosest one I think. But Eddie Brock Tom Hardy also gets transported in the exact moment that Venom connects to the hive mind across universes, and the symbiote from SM3 would’ve known Peter was Spider-Man from Topher Grace’s Venom. They didn’t explain it very well but I think the clues are there.

So here’s my take on the forget Peter spell. I feel like it’s similar in a way to the spell Wanda used in Westview in regards that it clouds peoples minds. It might change the big physical problems like the Mysterio video and the Bugles coverage of it and Flash’s book but it mostly just makes anyone who knew Peter forget him. Since his close family members are now all dead it wouldn’t be that deep of a change. And in regards to identification it shouldn’t have any impact. Most people who need your id don’t know you anyway so his erasure from existence is not in most cases physical but instead it’s mentally

In tasm 2, he was powerful around times square absorbing power from the screens, then in ravencroft absorbing power from the facility, and lastly at the grid where he was the most powerful. Even in NWH when he chooses to attack in the apartment, the building fluctuates which is a good visual to show that he's absorbing power. The arc reactor provides him with a near unlimited energy supply, no wonder he's got electricity to waste making his star shaped mask around his face lol.

Just a thought on how the spell to make everyone forget Peter works, it doesn't necessarily have to change history, if everyone's mind is erased of all things Peter Parker, then either altering pictures and documents magically doesn't seem like it'd be a stretch, or even if any evidence of his being disintegrates like people in the snap, that's actually the simpler part of the spell, just my thoughts great video guys. Yes, for me it was very clear that the spell makes everybody forget who peter parker is, that doesn't mean that it erases his existence from the planet. He has a social security number, he could also had been a student at midtown tech, with his picture on the yearbook. The only thing is that if you ask any other student, they would say "i didn't know that guy". Of course for the closest people in his life, that would mean a lot of physical changes too, like memories swaps. This to me remembered a lot of Hermione casting obliviate on her parents. I understand why people got confused on this, but at the same time for me it's like "dude that's not the point". People got confused as well on Endgame time traveling stuff, and I think is just about understanding that this wasn't explained thoroughly on porpoise, I'm pretty sure the next spider movie will clear the doubts and show us in more detail what this spell meant for Peter

I actually do have a slight theory about if the spell did in fact wipe every document of Peter's existence from the world, how exactly he is able to do well anything. What if after the spell and everything happened, yes he has no identity no where to go, Peter actually went back to see Matt Murdock, a really good lawyer with an even better heart. Matt yeah would have forgotten too, but still would probably be willing to help this kid. Maybe Peter told not all but some of his present situation, Matt would know he was telling the truth, and I think would help him. Maybe even call a friend like P.I. Holy shit I only just realised while watching this video, In Far From Home during the mysterio illusion scene, peters standing on a massive cap america shield, and the final fight in this movie is set on the exact same thing. Not sure if this is just a neat call back, or implying mysterios illusions were actually palpable foreshadows (Mj also falls off the same way, and a snowy statue of liberty appears moments later, so who knows) But damn what a movie holy. No other mcu film, when asked about a movies best scene/s has me flashing through every part of the film not really having a definitive answer. Jon Watts Is a genius

Electro from my perspective seemed to be the strongest villain in this movie in terms of power, if it wasn't for Doc Oc making a move when his guard was down, it didn't look like any of them were gonna beat him. They even tried jumping him all at once and Electro took them out with ease. Every other villain was defeated without any underhanded or deceptive methods.

I think I have a theory on the turtle neck. I think it's because deepfake (or something similar) was used on the actor while filming because of the vast age difference. and to help blend this in just having a dark easy to blend section on the neck would make it extremely easy and more believable. From what I got about the whole electro thing was, it’s because he was turned into pure electric energy and was in the system charging up. That’s where he said he was when he ended up in this universe, that the new frequency made him feel different feel excited. Maybe that’s why he didn’t want to go home? Because he was scared he’d go back to looking the way he did, and not this new cooler body with stronger power. He was power hungry driven by something else just like Otto, Osborne, Sandman, & Lizard.

The reason they included the lizard is because they chose a villain from each of the spider man movies. Spider-man: Green Goblin, Spider-Man 2: Doc Ock, Spider-Man 3: Sandman, TASM: Lizard, TASM 2: Electro. far as i get it, them being cured starts new timelines where they're cured. they were mostly fated to die, not already dead. good news for norman (died), sandman (didn't die, but cured), and electro (died). but the lizard being cured was gonna happen anyway if he was still on the verge of turning everyone else into lizards. and doc ock was supposedly choking spidey before he got sent to the MCU, so he might've been near the climax of the film. doc ock originally overcame being taken over by his tentacles by the sheer stress of realizing he'd kill the city, saving the city by submerging his reactor in the river. so unless doc ock was taken at some other point in time beforehand, dude might still have to go back and die saving the city.

Another detail that wasn’t mentioned. When electro was introduced he said the power here feels different. I’d like to think that has to do with Tony’s arc reactor powering the “old” avengers tower and power New York. So when electro is absorbing the energy. He’s absorbing the energy of the Arc Reactor, unlimited and renewable energy. That would also explain the color change on his lighting. Also when the arc reactor in the apartment was revealed. Electro notices it and connects the feeling of energy emitted from it. Attaching it to his body would allow him to constantly be fully charged, and whenever he shot lighting at the end battle. You could hear repulser sounds, or the arc reactor sounding off as electro pulls energy from the arc reactor to use it.

i'm so curious how the things that happened in this movie is gonna tie in with what happened in loki with "the sacred timeline" ,, because an individual has different variants right, and if ever they did something wrong that can cause a nexus event, theyre taken to the tva (which is ofc by kang) BUT, according to dr strange, its their fate that they all died fighting spiderman, so by curing them and then sending them back to their respective universes by that spell at the end (even if its not technically messing with time using the time stone), it completely changes the things that are supposed to happen in their timelines ....

I loved having the villains back, and they were all great, but Willem Dafoe was just on another level. He made the Goblin the most menacing villain by far very quick. He's just perfect for that character. The whole movie was just perfect - easily jumped near the top for Marvel movies for me, and I haven't had any that I haven't liked. almost cried at "I love you guys". Felt like that was just as much for the fans as it was for each other.

I loved how they kept the thuds before Doc Ock appeared like in the original Raimi films. Also I assumed Electro looked different because as he mentioned, the energy in the MCU was different from the TASM universe, so I assumed his look correlates to the energy.

I loved the nameplate easter egg on the MIT Administrator car with referencing Doc Ock's first appearance in The Amazing Spiderman issue 3 and the battle kind of brought the illustration to life in an awesome way. I also loved the meta joke with Matt Murdock interacting with Happy Hogan/Foggy Nelson giving recommendation of getting a good lawyer. I also found it scary with The Green Goblin killing Aunt May in this film while in Spider-Man (2002) he almost killed Rosemary Harris' May. I also enjoyed the Hawkeye connection with the "Rogers Musical" as this film kind of takes place in Summer of 2024 while Hawkeye takes place in Christmas 2024 and the ending of No Way Home brings it full circle to Dec 2024 and could he show up in the end battle with Hawkeye and Kate Bishop? I also found it funny when Ned Leeds tells Peter Parker at the lab about how he will not betray him and now with the world reset that foreshadowing is going to happen now Ned Leeds doesn't know Peter Parker and setting up his arc for a future storyline. I have this theory that the sliver of the symbiote that was left behind in the first post-credit scene could latch on to Flash Thompson maybe since in the comics he does become Venom which Sony could be saving for in a future possible storyline.

Something not mentioned that I found humoring is how everyone looked at Andrew during the science bro scene after he said he’s cured Lizard before and it should be easy there’s a bit of an awkward space there. Obviously we know Dr. Connors is alive and well but everyone in the film is under the impression that the villains end up dying in their universe fighting spiderman even if they didnt. So Andrew saying he cured Lizard probably caught the characters off guard like so you cured your villain but you still killed him.

I will always love crossovers in any media because getting to see characters that you never thought would ever meet interact in creative ways. Seeing the three Spider-men and classic vilains gave me that same feeling of excitement I got when The Avengers came out and all the characters from phase one were all coming together. Even seeing Matt Murdock made me so happy even if I'm not familiar with Daredevil.
