Spider-man wouldn't be Spider-man if he didn't always try to help people. The whole arc of this movie is him learning to keep both lives separate as the responsible thing to do because being Spider-man hurts people he cares about. If he'd just sent the Villains back to die without any thought, what's the point of using his power for good at all? I'd say at least he has the spine to take on the responsibility and maintain his morales, he just gotta do it alone, or other people with powers.

Almost 2 years to the day now. I wish I could watch this in theaters for the first time again. I saw it opening night, and everyone lost their minds. 90% of the audience including me showed up in some sort of Spidey related cosplay, and it truly felt like a proper celebration of the character. Most of us, as strangers, stood in the lobby afterwards just to talk to each other about what we had just witnessed. When Tobey showed up, I was 8 years old again seeing Spider-Man 1 (2002) on opening night. Coming out of that and Endgame, they didn’t feel like movies. They felt like a cinematic experience. I’ll never forget it.

I actually love this movie out of the entire Spider-Man movies and here’s why: Toby Maguire movies for Spider-Man as well as Andrew Garfields were good but they were also extremely tragic. The writers for both trilogies were very good at making us feel sorry for the hero and villains. It’s what made them different than the other marvel movies(other than X-men). Every movie ended with Spider-Man saving the day but it always involved a huge brutal mess that usually left Spider-Man standing alone. Losing both his love ones and the villains all at the same time. Toby maguire lost uncle Ben, Harry, Dr.otto, and if you noticed he wasn’t wearing a wedding ring on his finger. In Spider-Man 3 it ended with just him and mj hugging leaving us unsure if they were going to together. Apperntly it had been years since then. And most likely they didn’t stay together. Andrew Garfield’s timeline we lost uncle Ben, Gwen, and the villain he couldn’t save max and harry. And every villain was complicated like the hero. Norman was sick and struggled with his split personality, Otto lost his wife and his invention made him sick, max was sweet and didn’t even want hurt anyone, and flint marco just wanted to help his daughter. And both Spider-Man’s try to help them. It just kinda feels like things didn’t have to end they way that they did. So this movie kinda shows what both Spider-Man wish they had done differently. Otto went after mj and peter fixed his brain. Osborn put aunt may in the hospital and killed MCU aunt may and they cured him. Flint marco shot uncle Ben and they helped him get back to his daughter. Lizard hurt a lot of people and they cured him. Max is part of the reason Gwen died and they helped him. And Andrew Spider-Man saved mj because he wished he saved Gwen. Toby Spider-Man stopped MCU Spider-Man from killing Osborn with his board. Not just to save peter from himself but he wished he handled Osborn differently in the first movie by saving Osborn from himself . And they both tried to help MCU peter from making the same mistakes as them. The Spider-Man first two trilogies focus on the quote “with great power comes great responsibility” and applied it to both the love ones and villains he had to save.

Some people really dont understand the characters that they are wacthing on the screen. You have explained it very well but there are going to be some twats who after reading all of that are still not gonna get it. They are some emotionally inept, failing at basic reading comprehension twats and they are hair pulling levels of frustrating.

Curing them prevents them from becoming villains and thus saving their lives. Remember, Peter is still young and he’s very ‘save the world’ mindset

What makes Ned such a big part of this movie it's because in the comic books he's not Peter's friend he becomes people to call them self's hobgoblin and now Ned doesn't remember Peter who he is as a person changes. Now the stage has been set for a MCU goblin who isn't Green goblin but still is a traumatic trigger for Peter.

Sylvie killed He Who Remains and messed up the timelines so that’s another reason the spell was messed up.

That happened outside of time and affected all of time simultaneously, it has nothing to do with the spell.

@@TheMarioAdams However, Kevin Feige confirmed in an interview that it was the events at the end of "Loki" that allowed the spell to even happen at all. Otherwise the TVA would have stepped in at some point prior to Dr. Strange casting it.

Not only did Peter’s plan not make sense, but he ended up doing the original Strange plan anyway. Just to open the multiverse, get his Aunt killed and the line said.
@ZaidGameZ
@ZaidGameZ 3 ай бұрын
You're literally wrong. The whole point of the movie is showing that Aunt May was right and everyone could be cured. Peter succeeds and even Strange has to recognize it. He didn't go with Strange's plan which would've had 3/5 go back to get killed. Peter ending up curing them and thus saving them from having to die when they go back.

In the Portuguese language version of this movie I believe, in the scene where Peter enters his new apartment you can hear a woman say “Miles it’s time for bed”

54:56 there is a deleted scene where a montage of all pictures of peter parker were censored by the spell by that i mean like a picture with a bird flying by covering Peters face while with ned and mj. Or another picture of his face left out of frame except his shoulder and arms in it

They gave AVI ARAD a big thank you in the credits But you know who else deserves a big thank you? LAURA ZISKIN It was because of her and her partner (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the original trilogy and TASM1 had depth Arad on the other hand just wanted to use the movies to sell toys

Wow, you’re the only reactors I’ve watched that didn’t rave about the movie. I do admit that there are some questionable things in here that don’t 100% make sense…but tbh I’ve found that every Marvel movie has those logic flaws. And I do think that a 17/18 year old could be that naive like Peter Parker here to not call about the college admission. I do think it’s top tier. Not the best movie of the MCU, but it’s up there. It really is a movie celebrating Spider-Man, and that’s really the main reason people love it imo

I didn't care much for Spider Man movies, I thought they were cool until I watched this. This is not just a nostalgic trip. It's a chance to fix what we missed. To actually try to help people who lives have been turned to hell. It was very hyped but ngl it was worth the ratings

Fun fact: Willem and Tom did all their own stunts and the scene where Willem smiles/laughs when Tom is punching him scared Tom so much. You should watch the BTS of that scene, it’s kind of funny to watch Tom’s face

Bring back Electro who didn’t know who Peter was. I guess because of Math he now looks like Jamie Foxx in a music video instead of Max or blue Electro (because Jamie wouldn’t do the makeup process again), and the characters that did actually know Spider-Man’s identity didn’t get as great a fan reaction. Like any other Harry/Goblin or could’ve pulled Gwen before her death.
