@@loudtaste1046 Unfortunately none of them have enough villains to do a whole podcast series for. They basically summed up everything with this. It isn't like they can compare their own versions of the same villains. MCU has no Goblin, Raimi only had one Norman Goblin, and only Raimi and Webb Spideys fought Harry. We never got to see Vulture or Mysterio in Spider-Man 4 since it was cancelled, and if they talk about stuff like that had happened off screen it'd be an insult to fans who wanted to see that.

I recently watched Spider-Man 2 again and noticed that somehow the change of mind from Otto where he decides to stop the fusion reactor himself instead of letting Peter do it fits perfectly into the context of No Way Home. His change of mind didn't come from nothing or because Peter revealed himself and convinced Otto to be good, it's the knowledge of his future he gained here that did it. They chose the perfect moment from Spider-Man 2 to snatch Otto. He knew Peter Parker was Spider-Man but was still his enemy, he got teleported back into his own universe and time but now with the knowledge that he can change, making his eventual decision more plausible without it breaking the original scene too much if at all. When I first watched No Way Home I was worried they somehow would retcon some stuff to bring the villains back but they very carefully picked every moment from the previous films.

I disagree with this theory. Ock decided to stop the Fusion Reactor, but he was still Ock. The chip circuited again but it was still pretty much broken. He had to struggle to get the arms to listen. In No Way Home on the other hand, he is cured. The arms go silent, and Octavius returns to being the optimistic, kind scientist he was before.

That makes the end of spider-man 2 frustating. Before nwh, he won against his arms, but after, he won only because Peter (Tom) changed his technology on his neck. This is a retcon (and it's not the worst). Also, after they "fixed" him, he didn't thought about rossie, not even once. That's a detail, but imo, it shows a lot.

There is one thing that made them to get much more stronger : Tobey's Peter Parker - lost his best friend. Andrew's Peter Parker - lost his girlfriend. Tom's Peter Parker - lost his aunt. But all of them had an "uncle" role too : Tobey and Andrew's Peter had Unlce Ben (Tobey's old, Andrew's middle aged). Tom's Peter had Tony Stark as an uncle role (much younger than other's).
