Well, canonically he only has one straight up kill, that is Vulture (understandable, since he ate Ben's guts whilst he was still alive). The other kills such as Kraven, his half brother (disguised as JJJ), and Goblin were either by proxy (the spider god) or not by him (Felicia shot JJJ which was actually Kraven's half brother)

press x to doubt. I'm willing to be surprised, but it'd be set sometime in the 1900s, meaning chances are it'll just be used as a political platform to push propaganda. You *_can_* write shows in the 1900s work well, Captain America 1 does so brilliantly for instance, but frankly most writers today aren't good enough to do that. It's why Andor stands out so massively and is critically praised, despite being heavily politically driven. A few of the actors on the show have claimed it's about Trump or some such, but the guy who actually wrote it, Tony Gilroy, explicitly countered that and has explained his thought process as being characters-first, allegory-never. The few political inspirations he has used, weren't morally or left/right motivated, but rather about the actual logistics of politics. He said he wrote Mon Mothma for instance as “Sort Of A Nancy Pelosi Character” which sounds like a cut and dry case of political allegory.... buuuuuut the context for that is " “She’s kind of trying to do good or whatever she’s trying to do, and she’s losing - I mean, I don’t know,” said Gilroy. “She a powerful presence in the Senate but she’s facing defeat after defeat after defeat as the Empire is taking over here.” He continued, “She’s always presented as very proper and sober and perfectly put together all the time in canon and it just seemed like that was such a perfect opportunity to say, ‘Well what’s really going on behind here?’ It was very exciting to take a sort of still portrait of someone and throw it away and build a real life behind it.” " So, it had nothing to do with her political goals, political leaning, etc. short of him apparently having a slight vaguely positive perception of Nancy Pelosi's intentions, but all of the inspiration he actually took for the character is about the logistics behind the politics, not the politics themselves. In other words, my money is on it being shit, because most writers on any big-name modern media property can't actually write worth a damn and instead just try to put their political biases into the show. Politics *_can_* work if you explore them, but invariably you either reach an impasse or reach a point where one side is obviously right and the other is obviously wrong. Neither of those are particularly favourable for writing and to get to either point still takes lots of self reflection, a healthy dose of comprehensive philosophy, a few tablespoons of nuanced historical understanding, and a pinch of dissociated skepticism and let's just say, modern writers could really use a trip to the store. For instance if Andor does have any political leaning at all, it's not left or right, it's up or down, and the resistance we follow is quite openly libertarian. Is this intentional? No, probably not, I'm guessing they were just written as anti-tyranny and not pro-libertarian, but even without that intentional writing, the kid idealog who writes the manifesto is just flat out, straight up, indisputably a linux user. And that's not an insult either, the reason I can say that confidently is I switched to linux a few months ago now, and before I did I did lots of research to make sure I knew everything going-in, and as a result I was able to instantly recognize every one of the kid's talking points because I had heard them countless times before. This isn't even to say they are invalid, again, I don't think they are, but to deny that they do have a fundamentally libertarian association is just asinine given you can 1:1 map them onto basically anything and get a libertarian view of the subject. Again, do I think he explicitly wrote Andor to be libertarian? No, frankly I think he just wrote the kid as anti-tyranny. Maybe I'm wrong and he did write the kid specifically as libertarian, but given everything he's said I just don't think that's likely. (for better or worse mind you. I'm not saying you can't have characters with a political leaning at all, I'm just saying you can't expect political propeganda to be good as media. Naomi from the expanse is pretty fuckin openly belter-first, but that works for her character.) In short, I'm willing to be surprised, but my money is on it being entirely shit political propaganda, because we're at a point now where a writer being good at their job is the exception and not the norm, with the vast majority of writers now just using their platforms to push a political idealogy rather than tell a story. (ironically this often results in complete character assasinations in the process. Most people I know who watched the Falcon and the Winter Soldier said they either loved or at least liked Falcon previously, but he was such an ass through the entire show that they flat out hate him now)

Yeah, it's namely due to the Spider-Verse comics kinda assassinating his character. In those he pulls a gun on everyone aiming to kill and even asks why they don't just kill one of the spider people (a kid in hospital btw) to keep Morlun from getting to him. I love how his original comics make him learn he doesn't like killing from experience of doing it and not just already having an aversion to it. It's a really nice bit of development and I then love how Eyes Without a Face evolved him to being a mix of Spider-Man and Batman with his scare tactics by firing in the air and shit.

He'll probably temper Hobie a bit since Noir's not a fan of anarchists or authoritarians. He's a balanced, democratic enjoyer. The people must get rid of those who grow too powerful, but not just tear down everything and destroy society
@_nylemovedacc7672
@_nylemovedacc7672 Жыл бұрын
@@PhoenixFires Spidernoir is NOT a democrat. in the comics, aunt may was a visible socialist, and the ideolegy he was taught is 100% socialist rhetoric. He ends up killing corrupt criminals and corrupt police officers. Throughout his stories hes shown to be incredibly anti-fascist and anti-corporation due to the ammount of corruption. he is betrayed by government corruption and it absolutely kills his spirit, and the universes version of doctor otto octavius is told by his n*zi employers that “the national sociaist vision holds no place for deviants” conisdering that doc oc and the nazis are the villains, their opposition includes these socialists and also spidernoir, furthing instilling the idea of them being one in the same. the close you could possibly get is probably a demsoc, but thats about it

Anarchism isn't antidemocratic - it's anti- unjust hierarchy. Democracy is simply a method of making agreements between a large group of folks. At its core it should still foster free association. Emma Goldman has some great work out there that's more informative than a comic book author's brief mentioning could be.

Apart of me feels like they might do this, if they make the show colorized despite it being spiderman NOIR, it automatically goes down 2 or 3 points, it could be a good show, but it will be 7 or 8 out of 10, and it probably will be good because chris miller is helping and he helped with into and across the spiderverse and is working on beyond the spiderverse, helped with Mitchell's vs the machines, the lego movies, 21 and 22 jumpstreet, and cloudy with a chance of meatballs, all movies I enjoyed

To be fair, the first iteration of Noir Spiderman didnt had any web at all, organic or otherwise. They didn't had the tech to make a mechanic web thrower in his universe like the other peters had, so he just used grappling hooks, which added a lot more flavor to the "noir" thing going on.
