Strange is usually part of the central illuminati of the hero faction with a handful of other intelligent manipulators: Reed Richards, Tony Stark, etc. So he's probably stepping in as the local representative of the shadow government that oversees the heroes. They do smart things like launch Hulk into deep space with a super nuke on his ship. Then Hulk comes back years later as a Roman-style emperor with the last army of a decimated planet to beat the heck out of them for killing his wife and child with the nuke. Really smart people.

Its different version. This is a different Daredevil. The ultimes are ralrey entirly the same. Moon knight doesnt really work in teams, Doctor Strange is usually fully against killing humans, DareDevil intimidates but is usually kind hearted and again, doesnt kill. So on. Different itterations however, have different rules for the characters. I mean, look at all the different versions of the characters, and well...while there is a standard, which is the one we all tend to know, there are just as many which deviate from that standard.

@@JyMierCrawford also, it wasn't just started with spiderman, it's entire purpose was to fix how badly they had screwed themselves with their spiderman writing. after multiple meaningless and repetitive stories about girlfriend drama, clones, spider totems, etc., etc., they released a reboot comic to tell an updated origin within the main continuity that was pretty poorly received. their being constrained with the writing to hitting all the same beats, except for updating petty things to fit modernity, like whether spiderman gets a computer for his birthday instead of the original microscope, and making changes to character personalities that largely turned off the readers, ultimately resulted in it being considered abysmal at worst or lazy at best. spidey was hemorrhaging readers, and they decided to try again, this time in a separate continuity without the same writing constraints. they didn't just start with spidey and go from there, the entire crux of why they did ultimates was a last ditch attempt to fix the stagnancy of spiderman and bring back readers, and whether they'll admit it in interviews, they didn't really need to care about the other heroes because their books weren't suffering the same problem, so basically everything was written from the perspective of "Will this make Spiderman readers interested again?" considering how narrow that guiding principle is, they did really well, but the fact of the matter is, comic nerds aren't big on change, if you deviate from a character's usual established personality traits or try to replace them with a new character in the same name and suit, a portion of the fanbase almost always objects, and so fans of the other heroes that are present in ultimates had issues, but those characters weren't there to make themselves look good, they were there to make PETER look good.

This is the ultimate universe, and while there’s a lot taken from that universe, the interpretations of these characters are honestly a little bit off here. Like, in this story, Iron Fist sold out the rest of the team to King Pin, which he would never do in mainline continuity. And Moon Knight is somehow crazier in this universe. And Daredevil is Miller’d up X10 here, as well. So I guess it more so depends on how his character is portrayed after “Daredevil: Born Again”

There was this one story where his villains were absolutely terrified, because he had no quips, no wisecracks, he just came at them quietly. And they knew him well enough to understand what that means and thought they were going to die because Spidey was Pissed. But then at the end of the story it was revealed that Spidey just had a throat infection and couldn't talk.

And we all know Peter's right because that just so happened to be the plot of the Spider-Man game made by Insomniac. Wilson Fisk gets taken down, but crime spikes because of the power vacuum. And if you're gonna use Hitler as an example, I would have to point out that he certainly wasn't the last dictator. Many have risen with their own philosophies which resulted in pain and suffering. Plus Hydra is still around.

It's the Ultimate Universe. That's why the heroes are more willing to dirty work even if it costs them their morality. In the main verse, Daredevil *knows* Kingpin's death would cause more problems than solves. As much as he liked him to be dead, Matt isn't a lawyer for nothing. He knows what would happen if there's a power vacuum.

@@OrbObserverof course but I think it gets to the point where if someone is such a horrible danger to the lives of the people around them, and they have absolutely no intention or possibility of becoming better, it might just be more worth it to remove them completely. Like when Kingpin has the power to escape any jail he’s sent to, and the money to corrupt any politician who gets elected, I don’t think it’s a good idea to let him continue living when there’s almost a complete guarantee that he’ll destroy the lives of someone who doesn’t deserve it. Like I think when faced with the choice of Killing the Kingpin, and breaking the code, or allowing innocent well meaning people to suffer, then keeping the code intact just for the sake of it doesn’t feel too right. Heroes should be a symbol of hope, kindness, and safety, and I don’t think that hope should be interrupted by a call telling you that your mom was killed in a “work accident”
