For those that don't know the two workers at 2:31 were actual debris workers at the 9/11 ground site. There was an original scene were spiderman was swinging next to the twin towers, but was unfortunately cut off because the movie was still being filmed after the attacks. It's a nice little tribute that often goes unnoticed.

Mcus spiderman is totally Forgettable . That’s why they had to rescue the franchise by bringing in the legit fan favorites . Everything they was good about no way home had to do with this movie Andrew Garfield. Toms spiderman was just along for the ride . The only reason that movie was finally a good mcu spiderman is because it is nothing like the other spiderman films. Everything about it is different. Mcu movies really are mostly eye candy. They also ruined the hulk . They skip over tons of story for the sake of a big team up avenger movie

1:24 to 1:51 is peak superhero cinema. No action required. Just a young, guilt-driven man who decides to honor his beloved deceased uncle by using his powers to help those who can't fend for themselves and become a symbol of justice, hope and morality. The cinematography, the acting, THE MUSIC (Danny Elfmans score really turns this already great scene into an emotional rollercoaster) and the wise words of Uncle Ben echoing from the off "With great power comes great responsibility. Remember that, Pete... Remember that." It's a scene that evokes a sense of wonder, admiration and it made me want to go out fight with my hero Spider-Man when I saw it as a young boy with my dad for the first time. It just doesn't get better than that.

Realistically, it would be the opposite. He'd be loved on Twitter. Spider-Man is a vigilante "do-gooder" who many cops hate and want arrested, defying their orders in order to save people. Cops really hated him in The Amazing Spider-Man 1 (they hunted him down and one shot him the leg). Raimi still captured this dynamic but in a fun way at 2:43, haha. A cop was going to arrest him but let Peter go to save a woman from a burning building in this movie as well (it was just Dafoe though).

@Jay Ryan I am seriously starting to suffer MCU fatigue. The movies are all very cookie cutter in terms of design, writing and execution. There is more style than substance, and quite frankly, it shows. The Raimi Trilogy, the Dark Knight and the first two X-Men films by Bryan Singer really built the foundations of super hero cinema. And I'm sad to say that the house of cards that Disney erected on that foundation is starting to wobble. The MCU as a whole would have been so much better had it not been under the control of the house of mouse.

I'm honestly sick, whenever I click these videos to reminisce about movies I liked, to see people who have some psychological need to tear other things down to feel good about what they like. You know it's possible to like one take on something and not needlessly bash another? Even if you don't like it. It's just people circlejerking about what was arbitrarily part of their childhood being arbitrarily better. It's just funny because your take doesn't even make sense. I could point to similar scenes as this in the MCU Spidey movies - did you just not watch them and you're talking out your ass? Peter went through similar grieving scenes about Tony.

Tobey is the best it is said often because it’s true. The innocent and pain in his voice just makes you feel for him. He feels like a totally innocent guy that doesn’t know what to do with life. Andrew is too jokey almost like a Deadpool and Tom just is just there . This movie is great, people love the second bc of the fights and cgi but this one really tells the origin story really Convincingly. It just nails everything it needed too. The casting is great all around too

I've never read the comics so take this with a grain of salt, but I always thought it was weird that other iterations of Spider-Man can't naturally shoot webs. It seems odd to give him spider powers but just have that be one he has to create cutting-edge technology to make. The web shooters are cool, but it always seems weird to be like "oh yeah, a high schooler made this."
@blinky9208
@blinky9208 2 жыл бұрын
Well, the comics once tried to explain his ability to make webshooters as "the spider transfered knowledge of how to chemically make spider silk during the bite". It's a kind of flimsy explanation but it at least explains how he was able to make the webshooters.

"you were meant for great things", and here we are now, Tobey arriving in the multiverse helping Tom's spiderman grow. Nice to think that Tobey's Uncle Ben is smiling down on him, proud of the man he became. When Tom wanted to kill the green goblin, it was definitely the "uncle ben" that has rubbed off on Tobey that helped Tom deal with grief and righteousness.

Why do people criticize Peter for crying. There comes a time when you realize the point is that he is a normal, young man. He's not some macho, emotionless giga Chad.

Because everyone forgets that he's human just like the rest of us. People think that crying makes you look weak and defeated, but it's not true. It's letting out your emotions and real feelings instead of keeping them concealed and bottled up. Crying is not a sign of powerlessness, but a moment of vulnerability and expression.

This scene is exactly what’s missing from the other iterations of Spider-Man. In TASM, he becomes Spider-Man out of nothing more than a need for revenge on Uncle Ben’s killer. I don’t see anyone talking about this, so I’ll start. I think both the part where Peter makes his first suit and this part are BRILLIANT. In the first part, Peter is thinking of ideas and eventually makes his first suit as the “Spider Man” theme plays. Since Peter wasn’t looking to help other people with his powers, it feels incomplete, like something’s missing. With this part though starting at 1:24, as Peter thinks to himself and remembers what Uncle Ben said as the Responsibility theme plays, it’s only then that Spider Man is truly born.
