This is game is definitely a contender for game of the year. And I think the reason why so many people compare this to the Arkham series is because the Arkham games set the bar for how superhero games should be done. They showed that superhero games don’t have to be tied to a film or a specific comic book storyline but rather take the basic elements from the comics and craft an original story from there. They also have so much Batman lore in them that they will please the comic book fans as well as gamers. They also introduced new gameplay ideas that showed what worked and what didn’t work for example the combat system worked and the batmobile segments in Arkham Knight didn’t. And Insomniac did just that with Spider-Man by looking at the mechanics that made the Arkham games so good and put their own unique touch on them that would work for Spider-Man and not Batman.

This is one of the few Spiderman mediums that actually show the science and engineering behind doc ock. He really is a genius on par with Reed Richards and Stark. You can fully explore the lab and see the science behind it all. Such a small detail but makes a difference. One of the best games.

one of my absolute favourite moments of this game is the casual swing at 2:51:50. yuri lowenthal puts on such a natural performance and with perfect writing and astounding music, it’s a perfect example of insomniac’s understanding of the character. such a casual but organic scene, feels the most spiderman out of any media to me at least. i trust them fully with the second game

Oh, I just now realized. Octavius knew from that scene that Peter actually was Spider-Man, but misled him by saying that he only made Spidey's equipment. Being under that impression, that's why he was surprised at the end when he called him Parker while he was wearing the suit. Even my first time playing this, I thought it was odd how he was surprised when Octavius addressed him as Parker while he was wearing the Spidey suit. I thought, "uh, you knew from, practically, the start of the game that he found out you were Spider-Man, so why are you so surprised?"

Even though he is injured at least Fisk can't kill him because it's Spiderman so no matter what he can always get back up (spoilers ahead) like in Spiderman into the spider verse he always gets back up but in miles universe Fisk killed him then Spiderman from a different universe came back (spoilers are done LOL) and plus it's a Spiderman game they HAVE to make him live but no matter what he would get up even when May died (R.I.P ❤❤❤) he still got up, when he fought dock-ock, he got up, when he (you probably get it at this point) was in a burning building HE GOT BACK UP, so if he was even knocked out (couple hours later) he would get up, plus he delt through MJ, May's death, BEN'S DEATH. The point is Spiderman can get through like we all can no matter what the issue he is Spider-Man, so if he can get up we all can even through the toughest times (if you made it all the way WOW some $$$ for you plz like this took my so long)

I just watched it but, I have to admit that this story is great. Too big for a movie, maybe not good in a series but in a game, it's perfect and even better. All the side antagonist, Otto, Li, they were awesome. I have to admit that the scream of Otto at the end, searching for help and still be able to change the world with Peter broke my heart a bit. But he was too evil now. He could really have done great things. But his choice of revenge. Otto Octavious became Doctor Octopus. And the end. I will not spoil but, it was even more heart breaking.

The Kingpin fight looks so much better here than in the "remastered." His face actually has expressions in the original during the boss fight. "When Fisk breaks the floor,, look at his face, then look at the remastered version. You can't tell me that newer version has better quality. That's one reason I didn't get rid of my PS4 version.

This game is great! I Love the graphics and vibes this Spider man has, too perfect just the vibe of the story in this universe are Fantastic love how this peter has been doing this superhero job for a few years and love the plot! Also if u readers stop and think the best names for villains or hero u try to makeup are take in Marvel comics universe are taken and you don’t want to be copying other existing characters even if ur character is in any way or alot of ways somewhat different in (looks, gender, powers/no powers, tools/no tools, personalities, roles/alignment, jobs, lifestyle, skills, background, clothing colors, choices of weapons/ no weapons, favor foods, living quarters, pet(s)/no pet(s), family, big thinker, strong, fast, master detective, ties in the community/no ties, etc.) and you want to make a hero or villain for spidey to go up against or help or get help from! Lol something fun to think of! Also who here as in the writer not the hero/villain; would make their fanfic story with ur villain or hero, give Peter an amazing science job, news, fun and challenging and high paying job? Cuz I would want My Version of Peter to be borderline middle-high class very rich and to have skills from his job(s), school classes; skills that would help him search the net better, Research, test, program, build, wire/rewire, study problems/study enemies, out think his enemies or friends, Fight better/ Defend better, Code stuff better, make better jokes( cuz spidey has to be funny) 😁!
