It's a magical artifact with powers of its own, mainly to span distances and dispel disguises and illusions. Remember in Multiverse of Madness when Strange made Gargantos visible to everyone? He used the Eye of Agamotto for that.

Not everyone is going to listen for ten minutes before the comic is named for the first time. Many would probably be intrigued by the premise and want to check it out themselves without getting that much of the story spoiled. That's why it's considerate to put the title of the storyline up front, for people who either don't have the patience or would rather check it out fresh after getting the gist.

I don't like when comics just make it seem like everything important in the universe always happens on earth. I like when Earth feels like "just another planet" in the universe instead of "THE planet in the universe"
