Some of the designs would look good on a not Peter Parker Spider-Man or an alternate reality Spider-Man where he became a villain instead of a hero. I could see some of the designs worn by Kaine, but it's definetely not Peter Parker.

I feel like it makes sense that they wanted to have a different look. They were doing a reboot of something that was still fresh in people's minds. They probably just didn't want people drawing comparisons. I also feel like wanting to do a different take on the spidey costume isn't inherently bad. That being said, some of these designs ARE really bad. Lol. I do think 6 (8:19) is mostly pretty good. I think 9 (12:00) is pretty good except I don't like the eyes for some reason. 10 (12:50) looks pretty good, I don't personally mind the fragmentation at all. While I get the yellow is meant to be like sunglasses, they have black sunglasses so why not just do black lenses instead? Honestly every suit from the 10th onward look pretty good except for the one at 18:00. Just man talk about doing TOO much. The screen test suit I honestly really like. I guess I'm weird in that I really like the larger spiders on the suit. Idk. I do wonder if the second suit was inspired in anyway by the Spider-Man Unlimited suit.

I like the silver webbing in Spider-Man suits quite a lot. The more narrow eyes also beckon well to my sensibilities, as long as the dark rims are fairly balanced. I'm a fan of the resilient suit from the PS4 game; if only they balanced the red to blue ratio and dropped the overly metallic texture.

Elijah Craig exactly, and they are a more simplified version of Spider-Man making him more of a generic do gooder, instead of giving him that complexity of walking that fine line between selfishness and selflessness that the comic version and even the MCU version have. While I still enjoy the _Amazing Spider-man_ movies, the biggest problem they had was the reason for making the movies in the first place, to keep the rights to Spider-man. And then they decided to make it about Peter Parker. We've had a bunch of tv shows, games and movies focused on Peter Parker, and going off the tail end of the Raimi Trilogy is a difficult situation already. Something that would have helped the franchise was making it about a different spider-person. They could have done Spider-gwen, Spider-man noir, 2099, Miles Morales (especially since the _ASM_ movies were heavily based on the _Ultimate_ comics). There is an entire comic series focused around the _spider-verse,_ Peter Parker may be the prime Spider-man, but he isn't the only one. If they had done it with a different character, they could have done an origin story without needing to worry about copying Raimi. Honestly, Spider-gwen probably should have been the way to go. They had the same setting, they had Gwen in the movie, the Lizard was the main villain, just like in her first comic, she has a different origin than Peter, a completely different costume (which she probably could put together through her job at Oscorp). It was all there to introduce a _new_ cinematic Spider-person, opening the door to the multiverse well before _Into the Spider-verse._ But they chose to play it safe and risk at the same time by sticking with Peter but changing things so it was different than the Raimi Trilogy

I can't agree with your opinions on the TASM movies at all. I really like them, and think they're the best live-action portrayal of the character all round currently out IMO. I think Andrew Garfields' portrayal was very accurate in a way that a lot of fans don't realize/understand. And you CAN like Spider-Man and dislike the Raimi movies (that's kind of a shitty thing to say about some of the fanbase) lol. I personally like both TASM movie suits (despite some of the issues I have with the TASM1 suit), but most of these concepts wouldn't look good in a movie, although I personally like the yellow eyes, and the suit at 16:42 or the Screen Test suit would actually work in the cancelled TASM3 film, or possibly a new Tom Holland Spider-Man movie.

I don’t think the point of this movie was to make people forget the Raimi films and personally I don’t think wanting to stray away from the Raimi films is necessarily a bad thing or even “not Spider-Man”. In my opinion, I think people tend to overlook and completely bash this film for what it is or trying to be, sometimes even because they simply prefer the other 2 Spider-Men and set up their expectations based off of their favourites. Though to be fair, a majority of these suits just don’t work for me, not because they’re trying to stray away, but because they’re just... yeah.
