I get spider mites on my 40 yr fiddle leaf fig tree, every winter when it’s taken inside. Same symptoms and I have to treat, treat treat!

Thank you for this! I live in St. George Utah where it’s also hot like Mesa and spider mites are an issue for sure. Do we wait any amount of time before spraying off with water when it’s above 90?
@GrowingInTheGarden3 ай бұрын
You can wait a few minutes, but I don't wait long.

Hi Angela, how do you deal with ants in the garden, and I mean a lot of them?
@GrowingInTheGarden3 ай бұрын
These baits are effective if ants are causing problems: amzn.to/3Zk0tTd

If you have a raised bed with spider mites, do you need to treat the soil once you have pulled out the infected plants before you plant something else? Thanks!!
@GrowingInTheGarden3 ай бұрын
If they are bad, yes I would spray the soil as well.

Hello, do you have a good advice on how to treat for crickets?
@GrowingInTheGarden2 ай бұрын
Generally I let the birds deal with them. If they are very troublesome you could use Diatomaceous Earth amzn.to/4gtaT92

What about grasshoppers that attack the tomato plants??
@GrowingInTheGarden3 ай бұрын
Handpicking is usually the most effective.

Let's say you pull the plant do you compost it or put the plant in your recycle bin?
@GrowingInTheGarden2 ай бұрын
No - not if it has spider mites. That would go in the trash for me.

They destroyed my lawn every year when I lived in Colorado. Nasty creatures
