Spider Repellent Using Essential Oils - EASY

During the summer it is not uncommon for most everyone to find the stray spider or two scurrying around their house. It is unpleasant and unsettling to find an unwelcome guest in your home. This video shows a simple and easy way to use essential oils and keep pesky pests from your home. This will also keep other unwanted insects away.
For this video you will need the following essential oils:
Peppermint
Lemon (or citrus)
Eucalyptus
Lavender
Tea Tree (optional)
Cinnamon (optional)
You will also need a small squirt bottle and a single drop of dish liquid soap.
This method will work wonders! Obviously if you have a huge pest control problem, you may need to call an expert, but this will work for most everyone who has simple insect problems during the summer months!

I have found that putting two or three drops of an essential oil on a cotton ball and leaving it in the corners or by the door or where the bugs are entering works wonderfully. and it works for almost a whole week sometimes longer. I have used tea tree oil which works wonderfully. I am going to try lemon oil this time so that my house doesn't smell like tea tree oil. I do not water it down I use it full force on a cotton ball. I do not mix 2 or 3 oils. Hope the lemon oil works as well as the tea tree oil .

Feel like it's worth mentioning that some of these, including peppermint, are toxic to pets so don't use anywhere your pets could be affected.

I've tried all sorts of mixed essential oils even mixd with white wine vinegar and the spiders return within hours, even spraying directly onto them. There's hundreds in my garage, I might try 50/50 water and vinegar to try and kill them, which I didn't want to do I only want them out. They're so resilient.

I use apple cider with a little drop of soap and it works pretty good.

Gina Kitsuse yes, just a light spray and near vents or windows is where I spray too. Outside I also do a quick spray near vents and windows and that works well too.
