I think Carmine Infantino was auditioning to be a cartoonist at Penthouse magazine. Boobs, butts, bellbottoms and a wig as long as Spawn's cape. It was a cohesive run of issues, stylized in a good way, like quiet old horror movies that rely on atmosphere and really get under your skin.

Oh, the way he draws breasts is awful. Conical bone protrusions. It becomes part of the charm after a few issues. When it works (like the bits with Needle in alleyways), you're willing to let him have his weird triangular boobies and everyone having Medusa's hair.

I’m not the biggest Infantino fan but there’s some good work here. He liked drawing the ladies.

He's good at the genre bits, terrible at the super-hero bits and enthusiastic about the breasts.

My sister has every issue of this series. It’s one of the few Marvel comics she cared about. I think the only other one was Dazzler.

@@SonofCapwolf I didn't know that. I'm not interested in G.I. Joe, but I did recently pick up a trade paperback of some Superman web comics that he did that I haven't read yet.

Did Dr. Doom ever succeed with his Milk Dud plot? Or was he just another Doombot?

I had a box of Milk Duds in York before a gig and I was thoroughly disappointed in what they turned out to be. With a name like Milk Duds, I was expecting something better. Ruined my whole night. I wanted more milk and less dud.

I suppose at the end he did try to sew her lips shut. Otherwise, she attacked a vulnerable mentally unwell old man.
