This is my 3rd or 4th video that I've watched of yours. I noticed that you teach with the yarn worked from the right. I was taught with the yarn from the left. Its still a beautiful stitch to work for a scarf either way. Thanks for being such a wonderful teacher!

This is really really pretty! I wish I was a little more into knitting than I am so I would have more patience to knit. I really like crochet because I feel I can get more done in less time, but with all these beautiful stitches I am learning from you, I want to be more interested in knitting! I wish I could knit faster without messing up! Then I would definitely knit more often!Thanks for sharing this beautiful stitch with us! I will have to try it sometime!

Yes...knitting takes longer but knitting is beautiful. You can make very fine pieces. I like knitting better than crochet. There's a Universe of stitches!

JoannesWeb Maybe someday I will actually have time to learn and try all these great stiches in knitting! Right now, I have orders backed up on my crochet pieces, if I had to knit them all, I'd never get done! But I really enjoy watching you make those beautiful pieces!

Miriam

Dear Joanne, in your knitting do you use acrylic, wool or ? Which is your favorite brand and type of yarn? love your videos, am a big fan! smiles, grace
@JoannesWeb8 жыл бұрын
For lace knitting, I like acrylic baby yarn or Lace from Pattons. For scarves gloves and shawls, I like acrylic like Vanna's Choice, by Lion Brand. I like the Red Heart Soft yarn also. Sometimes I use sock yarn. I like Simply Soft by Caron and Bamboo/silk yarn for fancy scarves because of the weight. I like wool blend for hats, caps. Fancy cotton for pieces like the Vintage Cap. We live in Texas, so I don't buy heavy yarn. I still make tutorials with Worsted but not wool.
