What I'm curious about is why the dragons are walking on all 4's, given that most of the dragons in the series (Sparky included) are bipedal. I'm wondering if these might not be full dragons, but instead pony/dragon hybrids. The faces and ear certainly look more pony-like. Either that or the toy design team got lazy

I don't think that dragon is Spike tbh and either is just a reference to Spike via her colour scheme or might be a descendant of his like a daughter or granddaughter. That dragon looks more feminine like the others and has noticeable eyelashes much like all the female characters do, while male characters like Hitch don't. Maybe that is Spike's daughter? I'm also curious about if some of those dragons are either pony-dragon hybrids or descendants of pony-dragon hybrids given that they have cutie marks and hair? Dragons did live in Equestria for some time, so feasibly there could be descendants of the mixed creatures that were probably born during that time.

Just want to point out that it looks like the bracelets the dragons are wearing have a symbol that looks suspiciously like the one on the Men 6's friendship journal: an upside down horseshoe with a star-like symbol in the middle. It makes me wonder if the bracelets have something to do with them, especially if the purple dragon is Spike or even a descendant of him.

For those commenting about the dragons being 'larger' here or how they used to be 'bipedal' you forget there were pretty huge dragons in G4 and some dragons in g4 were quadrupedal. As for the cutie marks and manes ... I'm thinking maybe cross-breeding happened somewhere along the way and these dragons are half-pony. As for the 'Spike' one not looking like Spike ... you forget Spike had 2 adult forms in g4. The quadrupedal one is from hoarding gems and the bipedal one is from growing naturally. Something might have altered Spike's form over the years. Or seeing as Spike was raised by ponies and had a crush on a pony (Rarity) he may have at one point actually married a pony and this was the result. Seeing as dragons can hibernate for 100 years at a time we know they have long lives so this could be Spike or even Spike's child. Edit: I notice all of them have a bracelet with a horseshoe on it. Maybe this explains the cutie mark and appearance?

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure they just took a male pony 3D model and stretched him before adding details like scales, horns, and claws, and called them dragons lmfao. I am not very happy about the dragons designs in g5. I miss the many different designs of the G4 dergs, but I understand time and budget made it simpler for them to use one 3D model, copy it, and paint them all different colors.

I really hate to be the one to say it but i don't understand why people think this is Spike. 1. Spike would be waaaaay older by now and therefore he would be way bigger going by what we've seen of dragons previously. 2. I'm 99% sure that that dragon (and all the others seen aside from Sparky) are female. 3. These dragons seem surpised by a hatchling but Spike has seen many dragons hatch before when Ember was the dragonlord (I forget the specific episodes name) In all honesty I'd say its most likely these dragons aren't actually dtagons but ponies who were turned into dragons. For Chica-linda make her a Palamino like Spirit's mother, and make Boomarang a paint like Rain! I have actually been really digging the show, it has its faults, can be grating and boring sometimes but it contains a lot of self-awareness, and ties generation four in very creatively so those who don’t know yet neat tidbits in those who do know get to enjoy and does such a great job at putting an underlying mystery, but it is far more Saturday morning cartoon then G4, which is refreshing at times.

The face doesn’t really strike me as too ponyish as it’s pretty much the style of this generation, however they have canon bones on the front legs like ungulates including equines, which I’ve never seen on a dragon in any depictions.

I endured the first five chapters of Make Your Mark just to see the dragons in Chapter Six. Interesting use of sexual dimorphism, I must say: the female dragons have manes; the males don't. They're classic European, too, which is a win in my book.

if we think about it, these could be the descendants of Rarity and Spike. As I look at the dragons they do tend to share some pony features to them more than draconic. Them having the ability to posses a cutie mark might even prove that theory more so. IDK, just a thought
