Theres an interesting old video on KZbin called "Mondo Vision :A day with Andy Takakjian". He's the artist who drew all (or most) of the classic Vision graphics. He's got a pair of Vision high tops hand painted by Mark Gonzales that Mark just left on his desk. I love how Mark just leaves a trail of art and wonder wherever he goes. Cheers

Let me be a little more specific…I saw spike pushing his brother in a wheel chair around the time that this video may have been filmed because labor hadn’t been renovated yet. I also believe his brother lives in the neighborhood.

The real first Big Brother (it was free at skateshops) had Shiloh Greathouse doing a blindside Ollie to fakie over a hipped quarter pipe. It was super small like a zine and had an article featuring Natas and (I believe) Marc McKee going to Disneyland to get ideas for graphics.

I've still got my big brother magazines. That one had Rick ibeseta on cover. I could be wrong but didn't first issue come in a cereal box. I don't think I got it. I think the third issue was rectangular lengthways with ring bindings. I could be wrong, I haven't looked for ages. Had Daewon on cover doing some crook on bank to kerb that I forget name of. I had extensive mag collection that did include boxes of Thrashers going back to I think 84. I was moving around a lot 20 to 25 years ago so I gave a lot to my friends who at time were running one of the British skate mags. Mainly the old Thrashers. I kept many great issues though including all the first slap mags.

The Tim Gavin Frosted Penis Pops cereal box issue was Big Brother number six and the first one I bought at a shop (I was 14/15). Such an amazing gimmick. I kept the Foundation condom in my wallet all summer long in the off chance I was gonna need it with my girlfriend at the time. Hahaha. No luck.
