I'd say a nuclear reactor is simpler in principle of what you have to do than an air conditioner is. "Use the hot rocks to warm up water" is easier than knowing about the relationship between pressure and temperature.

@@monad_tcp the fission of uranium atoms produces a large amount of heat. This heat increases the temperature of the water circulating around the reactor, to 320 ° C. The water is kept under pressure to keep it from boiling.

Technically dams work off hydraulic head so the intake for the cooling should have been at the very bottom of the dam with the reactor well below it. Would have been much simpler although I don't know how well the physics in the game could replicate that. Might have to try it if I get bored one day

I think a better setup for this is for the water to come up from the bottom since the water inlet is above the outlet anyways. That way the steam won't restrict the water flow. And possibly a pressure regulater to create suction via the steam. So the more steam there is the more water is sucked in to balance the temperature...

Instead of using liquid water to cool, you could've fed preheated steam into the bottom, which would then turn into superheated steam, which you could then vent.

The transition from liquid to gas causes some steam to be trapped by water, which drastically reduces the cooling capability. Where as pre heating the steam would skip that phase transition

You don’t have to use the line tool for the edges of the screen. Just click and drag you don’t have to be exact as long as your cursor or mouse is off the screen it will be a perfect line.

when you use cooling systems that have the fluid change state, you should try to make the liquid come up to the heat source, and the gas continue to raise the mass flow rate.
