@@hydrangeyes2170 i also like that... compared to almost every "parenting style" ive seen growing up in both my own household and in my firend's household... and know im saying this with a profound sadness... bluey's parents act like they wanted children. like, as parents they actively behave in a way that shows that they WANT to be parents. they dont treat their kids like a societal milestone/obligation/expectation to fufill for their parents traditional nuclear family means... bandit and chili act and care for their children in a way that screams to the viewer that the girls are wanted, loved and cared for genuinely. growing up in a near constant economic crisis/recession almost every child i grew up with bore a significant emotional brunt of being latchkey kids... some parents were willfully antagonistic to their kids and very much treated them like just "something i had to do/have because my 1950s born parents told me i had to do"... they were so unbelievably cruel and neglectful of a helpless human being who didnt ask to be made and deserved better... others (much like those jerks who get a kitten for Christmas only to chuck it to the ASPCA when it becomes a cat) wanted a "baby" but didnt want the kid, teen, adult and stopped involvement after their child no longer said "spaghetti" funny... and lastly even in the best scenario of parenting ive seen as a child... the parents were so inundated with the erasure of legal holidays, workers rights and the decline of livable wages they struggled to have time and energy to bond with their children and had to choose "go to work to they can eat and go to college while leaving them to a daycare to be raised by a stranger... or less food and poverty but i spend more time in their life"... i apologize if this is ranty... its just something i conceptualized after seeing bluey... bluey makes me think a lot about what a parent should be... and how many people growing up in my family and in my friends family who maybe shouldnt have been parents but did so because they were told "they had to be"

It talks down to the adults watching it. Seriously looks like China animation and the one thing going for it is it functions as a mental health prayer room, like they have in leftist colleges with $40k tuition fees for learning liberal arts. And that is not a leftist problem, that's also modern Batman fans who just want the character to be a reliable dad for the "bat family".

I hate how quick some people are to call Muffin a Caillou-esque brat. Yeah, she’s rowdy and a bit spoiled (especially since her family is more well off than Bluey’s), but we see on multiple occasions that she’s willing to learn from her mistakes, and that her parents aren’t afraid to discipline her.
@tranatkikomi6873
@tranatkikomi6873 Жыл бұрын
@@Cure_Hana Right?! In the episode where she acts like she can do whatever she wants because she's special, as soon as it's explained she is special to her parents but still not licensed to do anything she wants, she behaves herself and plays nicely. When she was insisting on being a ballerina with the tutu and music, it was because she saw Socks struggling with answering for charades. At the end of FaceyTalk she was agreeable with timeout because she realised she really bad gone too far by that point and felt bad about it. (All she had wanted was to finish her cowboy hat and she was almost done.) She can be moody, she can be loud, she can be a little selfish, but she is a toddler, she is acting age appropriate. I once saw someone compare her to Angelica from Rugrats. But not even Muffin would steal a CD then convince another kid, who already felt guilty about being near it, that the world would be better if they weren't there anymore, or willingly break a toy and try to pin the blame on others.

One of the best parts about watching Blue is coming around to liking Bluey. Because slowly, after seeing the right episodes, you begin to realize why this show is so popular and legitimately good. I'm talking episodes like Camping, Army, Baby Race, Fairy Tale, Pass the Parcel, Curry Quest, etc. If you see these types episodes back to back, you start to see the genius of this show and you have to see multiple because you brain might just dismiss one as a fluke. But after watching at least 3 masterpiece episodes, you know it's isn't a fluke. It's genuine quality.

As a parent, this isn’t a kid’s show that parents can watch- it’s a parent’s show that kids can watch. Even the episodes centered around the antics of the kids that seem like they’re just intended to entertain children tend to have some sort of underlying message to parents. But, those messages are told in a way that helps kids understand, and even teaches parents how to broach a hard topic with kids. There’s an episode about a premature birth and how the parents had to leave their baby at the hospital. My sister in law, who went through that, was uncontrollably sobbing after the episode, but in a cathartic, healing sort of way.

That's exactly it. There are so many moments that either remind me of something my toddler has done, or is something I file away to remember for when a topic comes up. Hell, SleepyTime always makes me cry, without fail, because during a tough time in our life, my daughter would cry in her sleep, or wake up with night terrors. I would always be there, ready to bring her to bed and help her fall asleep once again. I really hope they're able to make Bluey for as long as they want. The writing, animation, and especially the music are all genuinely far above par for the "intended audience" Peppa Pig could never 🤣

@@cryocornOk thanks and my dog is a mixed breed. He is a Pug crossed with a Lhasa Apso and I'm not breeding him so, I think it'll be ok. Just think they are thinking of banning the breeding and selling of pure-breed pugs not crosses as well

@@mysticcc368 yeah that’s the idea. Europe already went through with it, but America still hasn’t gotten there yet. The puppy mills that breed pugs are either horrible puppy Auschwitz, or five star hotels. There isn’t really an in between for them, but the universal constant is that they tend to be batshit crazy.

Eradicating pugs would actually be a mercy, if we did it by breeding all existing pugs with other, healthier breeds of dog. Pugs became the way they are due to inbreeding that left them with all kinds of health problems. If we truly loved our dogs, we'd do what's best for them.

As an actual Australian, I do actually have to point out there was frontier conflicts with Aboriginal Australians. They were largely forgotten by the populace overshadowed by the Stolen Generation and concealed by the Australian governments pre-federation. These conflicts ranged from the battle of Parramatta to the Tasmanian Genocide. Also don’t forget during WW2, Japan actually attacked the Continent. Darwin was bombed and even a building in Sydney was destroyed.

1:48 Australian bandit once had a discussion with a friend about getting a vasectomy, as he wasn’t sure if he wanted more kids running around, but his wife wanted options. I think they changed the conversation to bandit debating on having a few teeth removed, because he’d miss being able to tear into something.
