It is for some of us. some of us never really do laundry until you move away or in college. In most Asian countries, most people have 'someone' that works in their house to do laundries and clean, so that when we finally 'move out' for college, whether it is abroad or just move out, laundry is kind of part of our 'college life'.

poyy - It is not AT ALL a challenge. I just bought 4 pair of pants/jeans/capris, a pair of walking sandals & SEVEN tops from JC Penney online for $100. They ALWAYS have 80% off (plus 20% on final) for clearance items. Original price on most of the blouses was $50-ish. Most stores have a clearance rack where you get 70% or more off. And then there are always thrift shops. EDIT: Or WalMart.

it pisses me off to no end that this girl’s parents felt it was necessary for her to go to one of the best universities in the world when she said that she just wanted the “college experience” (partying and football games) and doesn’t care about academics. she would have done fine at a party school like asu or boulder. @@samanthamione9901 im saying there are a lot of people in college like this. i believe that they get through because their parents are connected to the schools, the high schools they attend are amazing and focused on getting kids into schools, or their parents spend CASH on outside resources to make sure their fees stay high. i've met several college students without a lick of common sense.

Joelle t. Of course so many people travel from all over to go to Stony Brook, I’m just stating that it’s clear her parents claims are false, you can see that this poor girl did not get in on her own especially watching her KZbin channel, she sounds very uneducated despite her circumstances which also tells me that she had no interest in attending a university. I’m simply stating that her parents ‘not guilty plea’ gets thrown out the window just by watching these KZbin videos that she has made among other things. This proves that her parents were 100% responsible for this scam and it also shows that Olivia must have known. If she were invested in her college career she would have been at the frontier of her grades and SAT scores

“What do you get at Olive Garden?” -- Yep, she’s never eaten there or “Chipotle, Taco Bell, Chick-fil-A ...” And that was her first In-n-Out meal. Why do people find her life interesting? If she was from a different country and experiencing life as a typical American teen/college age gal, that might be interesting. Or maybe if she was from a very low income and was experiencing eating out or using a washing machine for the first time, THAT might be interesting. But being a rich kid whose privileged lips have never tasted fast food or food from a chain restaurant is not interesting. It just makes her look snooty.

Ugh, I literally knew a girl like this and we were really good friends but it got to the point where I couldn’t stand how ignorant and oblivious she was to the world outside her extremely privileged and sheltered life. Don’t get me wrong, I grew up in a middle class family and went to an elite private school, but my family worked their butts off to send me there because they didn’t have that opportunity and they were always in and out of work. I tried hard and got good grades because I knew things weren’t going to be handed to me and reality was thought,, But this girl didn’t actually believe that you had to work hard and she thought that things would be given to you. She also told people that $300 was cheap and any chance she could to tell people that her family owned a massive business she would jump right on it

WTF is a "sale website?" Even if she meant to say "sales website," what was she trying to refer to? Maybe Ebay?

Lmao I know! I can only assume she meant that there are bargains and clearance racks at some of these stores. Like F21 has a whole tab on their website just for clearance items. She clearly has never had to go to any of these “sale websites”.

well, on the positive side she was correct about the earring thing. you can actually get serious infections if you wear cheaper earrings on sensitive ears. so, people with sensitive ears tend to go towards the more “lavish” choice of jewelry. so, i actually am glad she recommended that people with sensitive ears should lean more towards more lush pairs because not a lot of people actually notice it.

Let’s put things into perspective...how many ppl would be relatable if all they knew were money; status; good looks & social media??? We’d all be exactly like her coz we wouldn’t know any better...so give her a break coz she’s not responsible for her parent’s mistakes...she will find out eventually that no amount of money; good looks & social media validation is gonna make heartbreak or any type of loss that happens in life make things better...nome of that stuff is gonna matter...✌🏻✌🏻

Victory Road she isn’t a kid though, she’s an adult and has had plenty of time to reflect on her upbringing and change or at least acknowledge her privilege. I agree with what your saying but it’s hard to feel sorry for her or at the very least understand where she’s coming from, she was so flippant about college when for hundreds of kids that was their dream school. Even if she did think she got in on her own merit she could have acted like she enjoyed it.

Ciara Morgan Thank you! A lot of people keep excusing her but like.... she’s not 5. You don’t have to grow up an exact certain way just to be understanding of something outside of your own personal experience. Like you said she’s old enough to reflect and especially with social media she could easily understand where regular everyday people are coming from

Your replies are proving my point that she is clueless & no matter how much she is attacked for her behaviour she just won’t get it...so why even bother...she doesn’t care about college coz she’s more interested in status on social media..she doesn’t get why college is a dream for others...she just thinks if u get the grades u get in simple...she doesn’t get the financial aspect...what about those in colleges whose parents donated money for new buildings & all the athletes & ballers that didn’t get the grades but that was overlooked due to what they would bring to college football or basketball programs this has been happening for decades & u would be naive to think it’s still not happening...it may not be bribery but it’s still corruption with students attending college with a fake academic record...yes she is flippant coz she has never had to be responsible for anything so she’s extremely immature...even if for some bizarre reason her parent(s) end up in jail it will be a 5 star facility for a brief period of time...they will all act like victims & say they were targeted due to their celebrity...either way it is giving everybody involved exposure that will end up involving paid magazine & tv interviews so keep giving these ppl “clout” as the saying goes...I am 100% NO WAY defending the little brat...I’m just highlighting that she is 100% a product of her environment...it’s easy to pass judgement but it’s not so easy for her to understand why she is being attacked on social media coz all she has been told her whole life is YES YES YES...YOURE SO SMART....YOURE SO TALENTED...YOURE SO PRETTY...& before this scandal she had plenty of followers & admirers on social media BUT now that there is a backlash of hatred & negativity u expect that she is getting a reality check from social media??? Lmao pleeez✌🏻✌🏻

@@victoryroad5264 if she is 100 percent a product of her environment as you say, then this backlash should result in her thinking about her life and her choices for a little bit. Because exactly, now she's not surrounded by that "clout". People aren't meaninglessly praising her as she's used to. They're criticising her for the first time. Maybe she'll actually hear something different from what she's used to and wonder whether or not it has any meaning. And if she could have prevented her backlash by not cheating her way into college (which to others is apparently a huge deal).

Here's my take on the answers to your questions: Why is she acting broke? Answer: 1. She's a rich-ass kid. How often would rich kids get run down just because of the life they live? The life that they want to live, they want to enjoy. Try to recall all those memories you had in middle school. The memories of beating someone down just for their happiness. 2. She wants to connect with her friends and her subscribers. It's not often you see a millionaire's child. Imagine how often she has felt outcasted. Disconnected with her friends. Comparing the typical citizen life with her's, you'd say different, right? Yes, that is the answer. Next, Why do you think she's keeping a budget? Answer: Even if she's under a safe roof, she has to learn independence. That's why she's keeping a budget. In case anything in goes wrong, she'll know where she'll go to. Now, I don't wanna sound like an angry mom or a teacher, but these type of videos NEED to be put a stop. These are the type of videos that still promote bullying. I'm Anna Akana, thank you for listening to my ~shitty~ TEDtalk.
