Yeah he didn't get it put on streaming but it would still do very well on KZbin. I feel pretty confident saying that the reasons Casey isn’t releasing the documentary are: *1. MONEY.* He isn’t getting bites for the doc, and if he releases it on his channel, the distribution rights will be worth less since it’s previously been publicly available for free. He isn’t going to recoup the cost, let alone profit. Despite the fact that it would likely garner more views on his channel and have a bigger impact, getting it out through a distributor will make more money. And as time goes on, distributors are less likely to take it as it’s becoming less relevant. That’s probably why he keeps talking about it. *2. CONNECTIONS.* A lot of people are saying that he doesn’t want to cross David because he has dirt on him, but I think it’s more likely that Casey’s afraid of getting black listed due to David’s connections. If his doc’s distribution rights got sold, that would be a foot in the door. If Netflix buys it, then Netflix are more likely to give him another go, and Casey can turn filmmaker into a professional career. David was angling for some sort of talk-show before his “downfall” and likely already has some connections which could be used to lock Casey out. *3. LEGAL ISSUES.* The doc absolutely contains things which could be used against David. The plaintiff in a suit can’t use or subpoena evidence if they don’t know it exists in the first place. There’s a pretty good chance Jeff will use it, but it could be useful for David’s other victims who aren’t currently pursuing legal action because their chances don’t look good. This relates back to the connection issue, as well as the fact that distributors won’t want to touch something in a potential legal grey area.

You can hear in Jeff’s voice his frustration and almost like he’s getting a small bit of justice grilling someone who’s siding/ protecting the person who maimed him; he said he wasn’t gonna hold back and he stuck to his word! I love this for Jeff!

I get why Casey didn’t release it, but at this point, just release it. It’s been years and we all just want to see the footage. To me he is just using money as an excuse as to why he hasn’t released it. Just because you can’t get a good company to help release and distribute it, doesn’t mean you can’t just post it on KZbin for everyone to see. Nothing about this sits right with me 😅 I get his reasoning, but it’s falling short for me. 🤷‍♂️

I think this is an ego thing more than anything like it’s seems that Casey was left frustrated no one bought the film left him bereft and refuses to put it on KZbin cause he wants a network willing to pay lots of money. Just my take on it

Put the movie on KZbin, put an end card (I think that’s what it’s called) “at the time of this movies release, there is a lawsuit pending for David’s role in the LIFE LONG injuries Jeff received due to David’s negligence. The lack of distribution is the key issue and is messing with his ego. There’s a ton of buzz around the film and if it’s true that everyone is dying to see it, and demanding it be released, why won’t a streamer or network pick up the film? Casey is seeing this as his one ticket to mainstream industry success and is holding onto it until a national distributor picks it up.

It didn’t get distribution because of the niche subject matter and that he’s not enough of a good filmmaker to make the niche subject matter compelling.
