Spin 184 - More 3D Printed Parts for the EEW 6

You are the best, so creative and dedicated to improving your products! I am all in for a yark parker , the orifice one I would purchase! I don’t have access to a 3d printer but I would order from someone who would print it!! A small suggestion : Although i sanded my bobbin grooves, my break band keep on breaking. I have tryed other types of strong rope and no luck, it gets rubbed and eventually break. My traditional spinning wheels use some typeof nylon cord and that is lasting for over ten years now, it is almost indestructible . Something like fishing cird but heavier. I suggest you try a similar material for your eew 6.1. I don’t think it is very expensive. I am trying to find some for mine. Love my eew 6.1 , thank you for making this wonderful wheel at a reasonable price ❤

I have a similar problem with my bobbins! I've sanded the seams down and that's mostly worked. Truly, it's my one gripe with my EEW, everything else is either great or a bit of frustration due to user error! 😅

Some of the bobbins can be rough in there. I print them for people and we run a type of sanding cord through it to smooth it out. One of the things I love for my break band is a very thin paracord! I think they say its a macrame paracord but I usually get it at walmart in the craft isle. I think ive also seen some at joanns by the yard. It lasts a long time! I know other people use fishing line. I always worried about it breaking down the bobbins though.

If you smooth out the grooves the string should last quite some time. I haven't actually gotten feedback like this before, but I'll think about it more and see if I can come up with a solution.

The cover is a good idea, but needs easier access to move the yarn guides. Love the orifice reducer, hope that fits my ashford!

If there was a slit down the front of the anti-kitty cage, it would be easier to get on and off. It would be best if it was solid and smooth surrounding the slit and orifice hole. Making it significantly easier to take on and off, might mitigate the issue of needing to move the hooks enough that people wouldn’t worry about access on the sides which might be tempting for kitty paws.

I'm excited about the pet cage! I haven't really used my EEW 6 since we adopted our very curious and energetic kitty, because he does try to play with/eat it. Which is fair. I am interested to see if there will be others' takes on it as well :)

I'd love to see a bottom puck for the yarn spinner attachment that's included. It needs a base so it spins better and the yarn doesn't get caught on the lazy Kate.

The cat cover is incredibly cool. How do you adjust the sliding hooks with it on though?

In my testing I took off the cover. I was unsure if we should leave areas exposed or require taking off the cover. You can kind of put your fingers through the holes and move the hooks that way but it isn't that easy. I think the best solution would be to make some larger holes in the area of the sliding hooks, but I didn't take the time to do that.
