Kaitsu how about a lesson on Rossana?
@Clash_CT_Rocker696 ай бұрын
The drum intro is classic for all whom were listened to the Spin Doctors debut album, but what surprises me is the almost identical drum sound.. I don't know "how deep" this guy went (sampling, because there is enough "meat to cook".. ) , but I think its snare and kick generic sound and correctly recorded properly tuned snare..Maybe two snare mics (upper and lower mic, like SM57x2) and good ears for proper results..On the other hand, it is possible that this sound is recorded with minimal equipment.. Anyway, great job mate 🥁
@ambizas9 жыл бұрын
Awesome. Your kit sounds EXACTLY like Aaron's. Not sure if you use his same set-up/heads etc. but, nice bro.
@KaitsuDrums9 жыл бұрын
Alberto Ambizas Thanks Alberto! Aaron also used Brady drums on that Spin Doctors song so the sound is pretty close to original recording.

Any advice on how to get better at hand feet coordination for grooves?
@KaitsuDrums6 жыл бұрын
Emmy, just practise very slowly to get more accurate and you don't have to learn the whole groove right away. Break it down for smaller parts. And a lot of repeats :)

Thank you! :)

Very helpful lesion.No boring blabla like most of the other "teachers"do. Exercises only :) :) Thank you very much for the lot of time you use to create a premium, free lesson to us. Is it possible to tune a 14x6,5 ply Brady sounding near the Snare size you use?
@KaitsuDrums10 жыл бұрын
Thanks :) You can tune all the Brady snares very high for that cracking sound. But I like to tune my 14x6,5 Brady Jarrah ply to a medium pitch and use shallower drums for a higher tuning.
@romainschindler94758 жыл бұрын
How did you get that amazing snare sound ?

you capture the snare (drum) sound great which makes your vid's unique. the snare is amazing. playing slow will kick any drummers butt...great discipline. really allows you to get inside the pocket when speed up. do u use a metronome during this?

Hey man! Been watching your stuff. Nice work! I'm about to do some covers with my new GoPro and in the baby steps of editing etc. How did you get the separate bass drum video in the bottom left of this video?
@KaitsuDrums9 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ryhan! I'm not an editing guru but it's "picture in picture" feature. I use Final Cut for editing, I think you can't use this with iMovie but might be wrong :) Try to watch KZbin tutorials (that's what I do when I have forgotten how to edit).

Loved it! My Brady Jarrah Ply will be here sometime next week. Can't wait. Can you tell me if you added any reverb or outboard mixing to get the drums to sound so close to Aaron's sound? We use a Presonus Mixer and I have never played a full Brady Kit before. Just curious if they will sound this good out of the box!
