Yes, that snare is perfect, like original sound in the original song. Is that snare a Mapex Black Panther?
@thadrumr3 жыл бұрын
Yeah wish I could afford the original Brady solid wood snare that he recorded this on but the snare alone was like a $5k drum.
@KaitsuDrums3 жыл бұрын
@@thadrumr It was actually a Brady Jarrah ply drum, not solid wood or stave. And I paid about 500 € for this Brady 14x4,5 Jarrah ply snare, it might around 1000 € nowadays.
@j.83155 жыл бұрын
Yes, sir. This is what I call a really serious job. Faithful to the original sound, accurate, showing respect to all the details (lovely snare Rev) and very useful for learning purposes. Congrats.
@gadget18310 жыл бұрын
To be honest this is actually the "Best" Drum Cover of the "Two Princes" Track I've heard so far, and you've really got "Attention to Detail" as you've manage to mimic "Aaron Comess's" Drums correctly, especially with that lovely "Snare Reverb!"

Hahaha dont why I was smiling when listening to this.. cos the snare sound just perfect and similar to the original. keep on grooving!
@HuckFinn212 Жыл бұрын
Comess is a great drummer! I really appreciate that you mention him above! Without him I wouldn`t even know what a Brady Snare and Jarrah wood is...For this song I use a 14x5.5 Jarrah Block Snare as well, it`s from Handmade Drums from Germany, which is really damn close and almost the same cymbal set up, accept my 20"heavy K ride, because of the great bell and the warmth that it has. That gum drumset is a dream, that`s the original sound! It´s just a well crafted drum part and fun to play! And of course you nailed it as always!!!

Pocketplayer here from HOD: DUDE! style, feel, sound...NAILED IT! Impressive. Talk in HOD how you got the sound so perfect. Details bro...snare it as close to a record I ever heard. Watching the fills at the end of 2mins makes me appreciate a solid studio performance...very musical and part specific. Should have a million hits!

Why doesn't music like this play in cars anymore. I'm jealous of the 90s
@DeadKoby8 жыл бұрын
The 90's music was a big rejection of electronics and computers making the sounds, as well as an uprising of DIY music. Songs were simple, and organic. Not unlike the 50's-60's rock n' roll. We'll get there again I'm sure.

This was an excellent drum cover! I've always loved this song since I was a kid because of the drum solo in the middle of the song. It's not much of a solo, but it's like the only instrument playing and that made me excited when getting into drums.
