Spindle Box Presentation

No one is doing this right. But you are. It needs to go IN THEIR HANDS at first, so that they can FEEL the amount. So may teachers do the one per one counting: put seven spindles in box seven, and let the students put them in the box one by one. Its nice, its important to practice the number series and cardinality, but if you do it one by one it doesnt give an intuitive sense of "wow 9 is a lot" which is what this exercise is designed to do. So well done!

Hi, for 0 compartment- do we say, 0 means empty or 0 means nothing?

I always say: Zero means nothing. So that the child understands the concept of it

celina nadan 0 mean nothng.. U can gv concepts to ur child.

0-zero. Zero means nothing... So there is no spindle.
