I think this is the most important part of the whole scenario. Everyone wants revenge for Angel, and yes he deserves it, but Angel won't get better until he decides he wants to, and the fact that he checked into the "Happy Hotel" is so powerful. He wants to get better and he finally put his ego aside to seek help. I know a lot of people won't see the parallel to real life, but it tends to be that people who need help won't seek it until they absolutely have to or feel totally broken as Angel does.

I remember listening to this when I was 12. I got in so much trouble coming from Christian home, and i was grounded for weeks. That was one of my turning points for quitting Christianity, on top of the abuse and neglect I dealt with. Years later, I come back to this song, and it reminds me of how far I've come since then. Not only did I make it back to God, but I also grew immensely in myself. This was an amazing song. It taught me a lot and it was a stepping stone in my journey. For that I am grateful. Thank you!

Your journey is very similar to mine. I’ve always felt forced to convert to Christianity, like I had no choice but to follow it coming from a very religious family. I slowly drifted further and further away from god at a time in my life, and it was one of the worst choices I ever made. I loved watching all types of strictly christian shows all throughout my childhood and was confused when my more “rebellious” cousin introduced me to so many things that I’d never even heard of before. Like things that were associated with homosexuality and such. Nothing odd or anything but a lot of shows that she was watching when I was 9 and she was 10, had gay characters which I thought was amazing. I was always told that love is suppose to be between a man and a woman, and was never even aware of the term “gay”. I later became even more distraught and confused about every aspect of my life I was so very confused at that time and didn’t realize how beautiful my religion could be when it wasn’t shoved in my face and shown to be something to be afraid of. I soon saw that being gay wasn’t at all a bad thing, and I remember seeing this animation at 15 and thinking “this is awesome!” without any hesitation or guilt. It truly is fun to willingly be able to enjoy silly little animations. Kids have wild imaginations, let them live. While I do not suggest letting children see sexual visuals or hear vulgar word usage in media, they should know what a freaking gay person is. Moral of the story, let children mature and figure things out as they get older, let them live while they’re young!

It's not depicting what Hell or Heaven is actually like (we know that would be impossible, Heaven is too perfect to imagine and Hell is just horrible), it's just for fun, which is very fun. Yeah. Same. I'm a Buddhist now because of their ways that everybody is equal. I was immediately told off when I was 11 and I watched this, I guess it wasnt appropriate but I was a stupidly mature so I struggled to see the issue at the time (I also had undiagnosed asd at the time which meant nobody got why i was getting really stressed over not understanding), I was told off and my stuff was taken away from me. Honestly I think the thing my parents were more bothered about was the sin not the explicit video. It was a very religious household. We figured that simply because of the nature of the Hotel. There's no way this kind of place was going to exist and be the main titular focus and NOT see slow, eventual, drastic change for each participant in the form of character development. The Hotel will help heal Angel. To what extent, we'll find out. That said, he is ALSO a depraved freak. I believe it could be the redesign of Arackniss, (2:40) (2:03) angel dust's older and "better" brother according to his father, Henroin. hazbinhotel.fandom.com/wiki/Arackniss kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJKYZ4iNqq-Up5I The reason Arackniss looks different here in the music video is because of the redesign he is getting when he appears in the show. She references angel's money and power because he was born into a powerful and rich Italian crime family around the 1930's -1940's , however angel doesn't like being in the crime family and becomes a porn actor, however his brother works in the crime family, (Bounty hunter? @Rivington Stiles) his father sees this difference and believes Arackniss is the better son due to him actually working for the family. (I think Henroin doesn't take angel's job seriously compared to Arackniss following the family's footsteps. He believes angel dust is a disappointment to the family compared to his brother. See "Daddy Issues.") Angel's family is planned to show up later in the show, with some getting redesigns like Arackniss for example.
