I love how at the end the moon is impossible to hold and just out of reach knowing he can’t do anything because the ball is now in blitz’s court, but as he’s falling into the terrifying depths of unknown of what blitz will decide he promises that if blitz gives him the chance he will work in the relationship and save them but he needs blitz’s permission to do so. Gosh what a good visual representation of a complicated relationship and just that terror of knowing you need to relinquish control and are left only to hope and have faith that your partner will choose you the same as you choose them all on their own.

Sometimes.. People put on masks and Stolas' mask was being a horny owl. He craved love and affection for so long. He feels guilty but thats the only way he thought could receive it. Re-watching after Mastermind and I just realized the same - also the way he pulls the moon away from Earth. Even though this song was originally fan made, they definitely used it and the visuals here to do a lot of foreshadowing. Stolas ignores the Earth entirely for the moon, when his role was to observe the Earth sky etc. Blitzø drew him from the path of what he was "supposed" to do. I've also realized that the "before we grow cold," which I had thought meant "before the feelings between us grow cold," might've been a "before we die."

This might be a bit of a reach, but I like how when Stolas is "drowning," his tears are mixing with the water around him. I think it's a reference to Hans Christian Anderson's quote about a mermaid's tears being lost to the sea, and therefore undistinguishable from any other water, sort of representing how Stolas wants to express how he feels to Blitzø, but can't, so he drowns how how he really feels with other emotions to hide the pain it causes him.

This made me cry. The line "but dearest, i know better now, i must give you this choice" shows such incredible character growth from Stolas, and the song conveys such emotional agony, it is a beautiful piece, and i couldn't be prouder of Vivzie and her crew for crwating such deep meaning and entanglement. Congratulations, you have earned every award that you will surely gain in the future.

It's actually extremely heartwarming and kind that Viv did this for a fan song. You have to think of the production that had to have gone into this. These are fully rendered with the same quality they give to the show (honestly at times this animation is more beautiful than "You Will Be Okay"/ Stolas' song to his daughter) which means she paid good money to her artists to work on something that, unless I'm wrong, won't even be in the show. Then there's the sound design and getting the VA to do the song itself which takes multiple takes before they get it right. They even changed some of the lyrics to make it have more storyline relation and increase the emotional impact. I can't think of a single animated series that has EVER done anything like this for a fan animation.

@@sir-dame-sander I love that cast album! That’s one of my top 10 favorite musicals! Though that may be because of Bryce. LOL. And the Tony Awards performance for that show is fantastic! It may have won the Tony for Best Musical, but Bryce was SO robbed of the Best Leading Actor Tony! But that’s just my opinion though.
