Spinnaker Mayhem - J70 Spring Series (5/14/2024)

This is part of the Crescent Sail Yacht Club spring series for the J70 fleet that they have there. This was a blast to be a part of and we all learned a lot. The spinnaker was giving us some trouble and you will see that in the video. This footage will be used by the crew as a learning tool to look hone our skills.

I thought asymmetrical were supposed to be easier to fly. All the lines everywhere looks like a nightmare. You did great considering what you had to work with. Makes me appreciate the spinnaker launcher on my buccaneer 18. Great video

This was our first race on this boat in heavier winds. Yes, everything is still a mess but we got the hang of it now. Still not the best at dousing yet but practice makes perfect.
