Thanks for posting these sailing excursions with short descriptions of a variety of boats both sailing and ashore. I’ve been meaning to start a small boat sailing group locally but haven’t taken steps yet. I sail a modified Florida Bay Mudhen 17 converted from a cat boat to a sloop and am in the process of renovating a ComPac 16. Small boat sailing groups are the best. My sailing is on KZbin as Prairie Coast Sailing and Sailing Magic as the Missouri River is our coastline along the prairie.

I live on the windward side of Hawaii Island so as soon as I were to get out of Hilo bay, I'd be in open ocean. I wonder if there is a small boat like these that are capable of crossing oceans. Is blue water dingy a real thing?
@SailingKateLouise7 ай бұрын
Well I would say not really but then many would disagree. Wayfarers have crossed the North sea to Norway and Jack de Crowe crossed the English Channel in a Mirror and I'm sure there are many other examples. In 1993 a guy crossed the Atlantic in a boat that was 5ft 3inches, would you call that comfortable? I wouldn't....a keel boat offers more security on big voyages. Thanks for watching, cheers Paul
