our shore fishing in san diego (USA) sucks but the sportboat fishing is great when yellowtail (kingfish to you) are around. we fish this style but call it surface iron fishing or jig stick iron fishing. i envy your shore fishing especially the GT locations.

We jig for kings to but a lot of guys have a field day using poppers. Now is land based tuna and cobia time.
