Good question, I would check the size specifications

Those look great man. Do you hit them with any baking powder to help crisp up the skin, or does the heat/rotisserie help with crispiness?
@embersonlybbq1 Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Interesting idea, I’ve never tried that. Do you recommend? The coals and wood alone got me some killer crispy skin.
@latrointhemists Жыл бұрын
@@embersonlybbq1 yep, definitely helps for me, at least on the pellet smoker! Usually do like 2-3 Tbsp of baking powder + a teaspoon of salt, toss a few pounds of dried wings, and let that sit in a bag overnight.

Great tip! Will need to try that for the next batch. Love getting to combine two of my great loves: grilling and science. If we can find a way to get Fast and Furious into the mix, look out!

Dang that’s too bad. Might be worth looking into a small accessory grill just for that. I think you would have so much fun with it.

Did my first joetisserie chicken wing and way overcooked it 😭. Wanted a golden brown color. Bad idea.

Dang, that’s a bummer! What was your time and temp?
@nmjhd12345 ай бұрын
@@embersonlybbq1 i did around 350-400, i think i must have cooked it around 2 hours for the first batch lol. When i open it didnt have the nice color i was looking for. The second batch cooked for around 1.5 hour and that too didnt came out juicy but was still ok.
@embersonlybbq15 ай бұрын
@nmjhd1234 man, sorry to hear that. 350-400 for 1-1.5 hours should get you golden brown. That’s been my experience.

Those look amazing… I love wings on my green egg, but flipping and watch 60-70 wings at a clip, is a drag. Some flare up, you have to pay attention more….this solves those problems…recipe sounds nice & fresh too as opposed to typical Buffalo wings. Can’t wait to try

100%. Super simple, super clean. And you close the lid and can grab a beer, like God intended.

to me, not worth the clean up. needs engineering improvement. thanks for the idea, though!

I had that concern in the beginning but you do a quick spray in the sink and then the dishwasher does a shockingly good job on the basket. Cheers.
