I was sad to see the Spinosaurus losing it's charge bite. In my opinion this toally changes the way the Spino plays, especially in water. I had to hop on after the update and try it out for myself. These are the results...

Love how they all needed an entire pack consisting of Stego, bars, campto, sucho and deino just to take down a quarter health Spino who they just watched destroy most of the server. That just sums up the PoT community

You're correct, but I don't expect much different from a PvP server 😂🤷🏼‍♂. To be honest I was just impressed that they held off for most of that final Rex fight, even though the little guys started coming in prematurely I was just happy as hell to defeat that rex

Yep ! People don’t realize the Spino is agile even though it’s not that fast of a runner. I can fight Carcharodontosaurus and Giganotosaurus with Spino too

From i know, they removed charged bite. And claws bleed, But they increased the base claw damage and added the stomp plus the all the attack don't share cooldowns so can you do quick combos. Techically, have More dps now bassed on movility and quick strikes.

Yes the Spino now is a DPS machine, I’ll miss the charge bite but I hope it comes back !

Unless I missed it somewhere, claw damage is 45, same as it was before they removed bleed. It was a straight up nerf. Yes, you can put out more DPS by spamming bite and claw at just the right times, but that pretty much requires you to be facetanking and spino still cannot facetank any of the other apexes even with it's defensive bulk.

Thank you ! To be honest, I’ve got to play more with the Spino since I haven’t played it much post-update. I used to run defense Spino and I had a lot of success fighting apexes on land. I’m currently growing a defense Spino so I’m going to give that a try when it’s fully grown.

The problem there is not the Spino, it’s the Sucho. With the claw barrage, a well planned attack can lead to the Sucho literally tanking an apex. I’ve seen Sucho a tank Gigas and Bars after the update. I believe the Spino now isn’t a bad dinosaur, it’s now a dps machine but it’s going to be totally different fighting in the water now.

Yo, I’ve been inactive on POT for a while and decided to log on today but when I went to I join my favorite server it loaded all the mods easily as usual but then after attempting to join me into the server it sent me back to the mod loading thing and just had me stuck staring at the already loaded mod, this wont stop happening I can’t join any servers, has this ever happened to you and is there a way to fix it?

This exact scenario happened to me. I tried to log into some modded servers and when it would finish downloading all the mods and seem to begin loading me into the server, it would just send me back to the screen that says downloads complete. It would usually end on the Mosasaurus so for a short time I thought the Mosasaurus was broken. Turns out this is on Alderon’s end. I would try restarting your game, turning off your console etc.

I hate, hate, hate how bad it feels to play spino now after losing it's charge bite and bleed. It just feels so clunky and weak now, you have to tail-ride perfectly or you die. And the stomp attack is garbage, nothing gets hit by it because it takes so long to wind up. And yeah, it's faster in the water than before IF you run a full swim speed build, but no more charge bite to protect you from sarcos and ducks dancing around you. It's very much pushed into go "pure" water or "pure" land in it's abilities, no more dual-purpose builds. RIP my favorite dino in PoT, perhaps in another year they'll realize they over-nerfed it like they did with rex and fix it :(

Spino is still good. It still has a chance to be the strongest carnivore even with the rex changes. Unless the rex has that face tank ability the spino will win

Usually when I watched PoT videos I preferred to just see the gameplay and not hear people talking. So for the most part I didn’t add my voice to the videos. I feel this gives a more immersive feel in videos such as the Apex Killers series. But for casual uploads like this, I don’t mind talking over them. Do you think I should do more voice overs ?

It’s trash. That’s a fact. They nerf it for literally no reason. It’s completely useless and it’s not able to hit anything cause it has such a short distance of attack. U basically have to be hovering over the top of it

I see what you’re saying, but the Spino can still work decently well once you account for its long neck and its hitboxes.
