Looking at this abnormality, I originally thought the spiral was the massive arch in the Backround (my idea of thought was that the rest of the spiral was hidden behind the blood rise) but apparently the abnormality itself is the spiral. Either way this was probably my favorite fight in the railway (though appearance wise it’s tied with ardor blossom moth and drench gossypium, fights themselves not withstanding)

I actually feel that the entire *battlefield itself* is the Abnormality. It attacks by causing blood to fall from the sky, or by sinking into the lake. It makes me think that this entire arena is its body and that what we’re fighting is simply its “core”.

In all honesty, I'm kinda glad this one's a bit merciful than the Sign of Roses (RR2 wasn't even that difficult in my opinion, just REALLY damage spongy) I think it also kinda thematically fits that this thing isn't as difficult; it contempts you, probably underestimating us hard.
