To Donna Shore. I can't seem to reply straight to you so I hope you get this. Thank you very much. I buy my wire from www.jewellerymaker.com. It is a copper based wire that is coated on sterling silver and then has an e-coating that makes it hypo-allergenic and protects it from tarnishing. I hope that was helpful :-)

Hi Christine, This is totally awesome, and I can not wait to try to make some. Could you kindly let me know if I need to use dead-soft wire, or half-hard wire, or does it make a difference? What about when there is no mention of which one it is? Your videos are so clear that it is a real treat to watch them. Thank you so much for your help, Yaffa.
@CSLdesigns9 жыл бұрын
yaffab11 Thank you so much. You are very kind. You can use whatever wire you feel most comfortable working with, but I prefer to use soft wire, and that is what I use in all my videos, because it's easier to work with and more malleable, but work hardens as you work with it and also gets stronger when you do wire wrapping with it, and I find that it works just fine for all the pieces I have made. I hope that helped :-)

Pamela Knopps Hello Pamela. That sounds great. Yes, you certainly could do that or some other mandrel if you want a different size. Would certainly be a little easier :-)
@tbkk10010 жыл бұрын
How can you tell which way to weave the weaving wire after you add the bead? I'm having a bit of trouble with that bit. Also can you use different gauges of wire besides the ones you mentioned and can you use any kinds of beads? Love your videos by the way
@CSLdesigns10 жыл бұрын
tbkk100 Thank you. Try and imagine that you are weaving a figure of eight, so if you've come over the base wire on one side, then add a bead, then you'll go under the base wire on the opposite side to continue weaving. I hope that makes sense. Yes you could certainly use other gauges of wire, just make sure that your base wire and weaving wire are a few gauges apart from each other. A general rule of thumb is at least two sizes between your two gauges. And you could certainly also use many different kinds of beads. It all depends on the look you want to achieve. I hope that was helpful :-)

Kalpana Shivaprakash You could certainly do that, if you have something in that shape. I didn't have anything I could use, so therefore I just did it by hand, but it would certainly make it easier :-)
@kathrynarchuleta17767 жыл бұрын
You said that it was possible to work with a shorter weaving wire and start a new weaving wire later on in the piece. HOW do you do that?? I tried to start working with a 5 foot (1.5m) piece of 26 gauge wire and all I ended up with was a tangled mess of wire!!

I am extremely grateful for all of your helpful, creative tutorials. My only suggestion would be to use as FEW words as possible. I love your tutorials, but when I see yet another one that looks like a beautiful piece of work and how l-o-n-g they are, it is frustrating. Some people are friendly and just like to talk, but it would be so helpful, if you could do less editorializing and more straight-to-the-point step-by-step instructions. But again, thank you so much.
