@Spired There is one detail you forgot to mention in the video. The memory of The Campfire of Dreams. When we first saw it waaaay back in Chapter 22, it's from Guts' point of view/3rd person point of view, and it's presented as a light and comedic moment of Guts teasing Casca. However, in the Dreamworld, we get to see this scene from Casca's point of view and what it looked like and meant to her. A Hound is a perfect animal to represent Guts. A hunting dog, representing how Guts is a hunter of Apostles. On top of that dogs are very loyal. Representing how Guts has stood watch over Casca unconditionally.

When I saw Casca's ego as a broken empty shell, I swear, I weeped like a bitch for half an hour, not able to look away from the page. And the way she perceives Guts has made my heart bleed. Cause both of them are deeply relatable for me. Damn it felt so real. Struck right at the sore spots, spoke directly to the deepest, most repressed parts of my mind. I knew something tough was coming, but it have exceeded my expectations. So beautifully cathartic, though.

I love how miura really makes us feel for guts. Also casca like really her image in the dreamscape was soo shocking and sad that even though she was broken she still saw guts as her protector bond by her by blood and scrafice. I think the most brutal thing was that even though they had brought casca mind back her heart was wrap in barbed spiked wires that was poking her and anything around it. In terms she was still tramadized nit just that everytime she got close to someone she will push them away because she still broken still cant full grasp the reality what truly happened

the depth of he story line and dialogues and references and attention to details and the various hints and foreshadowing and the different interpretations of everything leads to limitless possibilities of how the story and characters will continue and develop and last and the psychological elements means that every reader will have his perspective of the story that being said the big downer is its not fun reading 10 pages every year the backlog is too long to link every part of the story and fully enjoy berserk and with this type o complex story and art style i doubt this schedule will ever change

I really belive that Guts doesn.t have much left in him. The berseker armour is the only thing keeping him able to match his enemies but we know it won.t last long. The rod with the black flags to me are the representation of band of Hawks' flags and all the victory they achieved throughout their time but now all those victories are overshadowed by Griffith selling his soul to the god hand. So all those victories guts took part in are just inflicting him with pain.

Also the black flag poles were in the berserk prototype that Miura made in college. I was stoked to see this idea used in the actual series, and I don't think they only serve as symbolism for the Griffith and the band of the hawk, they also symbolize Guts as well. A black cloak flapping about upon a jagged and warped pole, standing alone amongst a vast wasteland. This must also be how Casca sees Guts, a tattered and ragged person still fighting to stand amongst the winds and the all consuming nothingness. It would make sense it represents both Griffith and guts, they're two sides of the same coin, especially when it comes to Casca because they both have equal importance in her life. There's so much meaning to be derived from just the black flags alone, let alone the dreamscape as a whole.

The representation of Guts in this dream broke me. It's just such a sad sight, a deeply injured dog, struggling on for a reason that she sees as pointless. But it all payed off. Casca is back, she can finally start to heal and process the eclipse and one day hopefully be able to be with Guts as they both want so badly. I hope we can see that one day.

I never see enough people recognize that Griffith literally enslaved Guts by his words and actions. Thats what that chain attached to the coffin means to me: Guts didnt join the Hawks he was attacked by them and enslaved. All the camaraderie and civility doesnt change the fact that they attacked him unprovoked and Griffith enslaved him.

This is far and away my favorite section of Berserk. When it was revealed that Guts is a dog dragging a broken Casca and hopelessly scavenging for tiny pieces across a wasteland, it genuinely brought a tear to my eye. It's funny that it works so well, because it's literally the cringy facebook boomer meme of a soldier or a cop with a bunch of knives in their back hugging a little girl. All the flashbacks and fan-service are SO tasteful, and the choice to only feature the 2 members of the party that have ~complicated~ feelings about Guts is genius. If it came out that the boat section took so long because he was preparing these couple of chapters to be as good as they can be, I wouldn't be shocked.

I've seen many people give up on Berserk, as the Fantasia arc was pretty damn weak compared to the rest of the series. And I was kind of with them. Berserk was still fun, but not nearly the masterpiece it was during the Golden Age and a lot of the Conviction Arc. But for me, Casca's Dreamscape and her return to sanity represented a massive jump in quality. It was so beautiful and satisfying, after waiting so long for her to be back. I've fallen in love with Berserk again. And if the next few chapters can remain at this level of quality, then I am happy to say that Berserk is back.
