Haha, I knew I misunderstood some things. I didn't get the +1 card play for impend spots and misinterpreted them as +1 energy for impended cards 🙈 Well, I've gotta try again and pay DUE diligence (pun definitely intended).

so if i understand correctly, if you impend a 0 cost card, you dont get it the turned you impended it since the checking for the energy requirements is before the card plays

That is correct. You can impend 0s and they come up the following turn.

If this spirit could hold soft sand to boost ground type moves, it’s original STABS making Earthquake 150 power could become even more damage! My Groudon is holding soft sand on my emerald romhack😬

Solarbeam casts immediately and covers water and ground type weakness, drought ability reduces incoming water damage, earthquake also deals with ground weakness, flamethrower or eruption does extra damage due to drought and covers grass type weakness, and then other options idk but the 3 I mentioned are pretty great imo. I have Ancient power cuz it’s more rare but fire already covers ice and bug weakness. Love Groudon…and Kyogre with Calm Mind and Thunder 100% accuracy due to drizzle ability + ice beam cuz it’s cool and wrecks grass and thunder wrecks water which is common type and ice beam and surf or water spout which are both bad vs water

Devouring teeth video is already finished and should be coming out sometime in July. It was going to be sooner, but NI release pushed it back. Yes we will continue the series covering the remaining spirits and aspects (especially NI aspects)

I was just gonna ask for content on this spirit. I feel special love and connection for the following spirits: Earthquake, Volcano, Ocean, Serpent, Wildfire, Downpour…what do they have in common? They include these attributes - vast, all encompassing, building up power to unleash devastating amounts of destruction….in nature they happen to be the most destructive and unavoidable. Idk about Serpent tho. Maybe thats me. Serpent is my favorite overall. My life is a lot of stored up power ready to unleash unbelievable amounts of damage - towards my enemies(the evil in the world is out of control and my intent is fixed upon their downfall and the rise of greatness of the human race). Power, Beauty, Justice, Truth, Love, Peace - the world can have it still. God has control over this out of control world. Evil loses in the end, God only allows evil to advance to a certain point, and then smashes it with the help of His good creatures. I have no worries, I laugh at evil. Losers

I've made some setting changes for future videos! Some videos are prerecorded, so you may still have sound troubles in those (Roots guide), but videos after that should be good!

Just to clarify, the +1 play for impending only means that I get an additional cardplay which can only be used to place cards in my impending area?

I know you can't talk about strategy for NI content yet but I'm very curious to see what you do with this spirit. I think most people already gravitate to the pure top track, turn 4 max quake build. You said there are multiple viable builds though and you have more experience with this spirit than the community so I really want to see you show some other possibilities!

DUE top track T4 quake was never a build that I never did and wasn't even found by playtesters! Rei found T4 quake, but does a pure bottom track build! I typically do T5 builds, or go top track for 5 quake build, or a mystery build that I won't speak of. I think the T4 quake build is likely the best build in most matchups (after seeing it piloted by Jason and others), but like I said, I don't use the build and have very high success rate with the spirit.

@redrevenge3517 that's so interesting! I've been playing T5 quakes myself, I like it much more than T4 quake since you have so many more actions in the leading turns. Really looking forward to seeing a bit more variety of builds for this spirit with their strengths and weaknesses.

Just calling it out, no hate, but "cornTer"? Is that an accent thing, or is it just one of those things like people saying "turret" as "turreNt"?
