That's my favourite spirit in whole game. I usually place presence each turn and go for 3 plays, then top track till any element, then bottom track again. Playing majors from mid game feels great and "See what happens" is just a lot of fun. Don't underestimate getting 1 energy each turn from "Let's see what happens" :) I never also thought that I would like to play "Why don't you and them fight" in slow phase, but it happens quite often. Great spirit for players who want to turn chaos into their favour.

A few of my friends really like Trickster, I think it’s great thematic spirit and it certainly brings some hilarious chaos to the island at times.

Trickster is my favorite in the moderate complexity category, like you said so many effective builds even a great reclaim loop one. The inherent defense strife has and the ability to move dahan out of your lands for counterattacks just has so much potential and my table always loves “seeing what happens”. I find myself reaching for this guy a lot and always being happy with how games turn out

I despise randomness and I like Trickster. Go figure.

Yeah, turns out Trickster isn't really as random as it looks. Obviously Let's See What Happens is very random, but that's no more than 10% of Trickster's overall power, if that, and Overenthusiastic Arson can usually be planned in such a way that both results are positive. I actually find this spirit pretty consistent, definitely more so than spirits that rely on drafts too much like Memory or Immense Lightning.

Yeah, Trickster seems unusually consistent to me if anything. It gets to pick through half the minor deck every game, so you can dig for specific tools.

Trickster is far more stable than most think. Strife is a very reliable token.

Thematic and witty spirit, it's often fun and sometimes disastrous ;) I'm not very good with trickster and often find it hard to greed into 4/5 card plays without reclaim looping. I believe he is one of the spirits that benefits the most from proliferation.

Last time I played trickster my innate flipped a card that in total added 3 blight and destroyed 2 presence :D

I don't know how I missed for over a year that strife doesn't prevent an invader from "participating" in a ravage. I've played all my games with the strife token getting removed but the Dahan leaving the strifed Invaders alone and only attacking the ones without it. This re-contextualizes so many of my games. I still made them work but wow, I was struggling a lot more than I needed to. XD Now I'm really looking forward to my next time using a strife spirit!

Have you shown that "Trickster major turn 1" build yet? You talked about that a while back and I might have missed the video.

I enjoy trickster immensly. U thought I would dialike him at first but what really helped is getting familiar with the minor power deck in order to determine the best lands yo use Let's See What Happens, targeting land with Invaders, Dahan and Beast significantly increases the chamces of a good hit. I jave mever gone a pure bottom track qnd have often gone top track since I like getting new powers and rarely reclaiming.

Stricken is definitely frustrating, but I spend most of my Trickster games worrying about Pull Together in Adversity. Ignoring strife will probably add a couple blight, plus potential cascades and loss conditions. It's only one event, but it can be a game-ender for Trickster (and Delirium, for that matter).

I'm stumped with Trickster, specifically their right innate. Every other Spirit's innates work from top to bottom, you unlock step 1 to unlock step 2 etc, but Trickster reads as though you just aim for the effect you want?

The ability is still read from top to bottom.

@@RedReVenge007 I think I've just been misunderstanding that then. I was reading it as "If you cannot meet the first level, you can't do the second". Do not pass go, do not collect $200. I might enjoy Thunderspeaker more now.
